You get to see the darkest side of a dark world. And what you see, hear and read is often unforgettable – and not in a good way.
The case of 13-year-old Jesse Dirkhising continues to haunt me since I first wrote about it 10 years ago – before anyone else in the national press.
The details of the crime in Prairie Grove, Ark., Sept. 26, 1999, were chilling enough before I read more than I cared to read in the affidavit filed the next day. This is not an easy story to write nor read about. Be warned.
Joshua Macave Brown and David Don Carpenter were found guilty in the murder and rape of Jesse Dirkhising. The pair were convicted of drugging the boy, raping him repeatedly and killing him by asphyxiation.
If you have the stomach for it, here are the shocking details of what the police investigation found.

IIRC the boy’s mother allowed him to work for the two fiends in their (hairdressing?) shop. She mouthed some platitude about wanting to foster tolerance of their lifestyle. She got a terrible rude awakening I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
Poor boy, what a terrible way to die. I hope he was completely unaware.

Dirkhising’s killers both got life sentences, but Shephard’s killers got TWO LIFE SENTENCES each.
Shephard was worth more than Dirkhising because he was a homosexual, I guess. :(
I tell you what, I think about this every once in a while since I read about it 10 years ago, got two boys of my own, it STILL makes me tear up/cringe/get pissed, etc. If I had been in charge, these two low lives would have been strung up by the balls in the public square with a complete account of what they had done to this poor boy. I would have let EVERYONE take out their anger on them, screw these people. They deserve NO PITY! NO UNDERSTANDING! THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO LIVE, PERIOD!!!

I was hated on my first job, particularly by one guy named Dan.Over the course of about 2 years, I was mis-treated on that job, by most people there.But at the beginning of 1987, I was threatened by Dan and some of the stock crew, with HOMOSEXUAL ASSAULT!
I KNOW he was gay—and he knew I was a Christian—and he hated me. I On day, while I was ‘sorting the pop bottles(they still had glass bottled pop in 87, and we had to sort the returns for the bottlers),and Dan and several guys came up to me. Dan told me”guess what is going to happen to you, jack.. I am going to “#uc# you and there is nothing you can do about it!! He said that —and the guys around him said they would help him. I then said”if you touch me, I'll tell the cops. Dan said ‘what evidence will you have—my #um stains on your @ss? He then said—no one here will stand up for you.
So—I told the manager, who was supposed to be a Christian...and he BLEW ME OFF!! Basically—he said I was scared over nothing—and he did NOT believe me. I went back to work, scared, but hoping all would “go away”.
A few hours later..I was again in the back...and Dan cornered me...and said “we know you ran to milligan about things. I told you that NO ONE would stand up for you!! Now...tomorrow is the BIG DAY!! I am going to rape you and then...WE ARE ALL GOING TO KILL YOU!!
Knowing I had NO one who would stand up for me, and feeling afraid for my safety—I then went to the manager, Milligan and QUIT. he said “he felt i was going off the deep end—but if that is how i felt-then so be it”. I tried to get unemployment, but was denied, when Milligan lied and denied I was harassed and threatened.. SO, being young and scared..I crawled away. A week or two later—my car, which was brown, was ‘hit and ran” by a car, which must have been red, as red paint was on my car—and Dan's car was RED, with a FRESH damaged area...with BROWN paint on it!! That is how much he HATED ME—to wreck his OWN CAR-—to mess up MINE!!
I would NOT crawl today—and I DO have one or two people, one in particular—who WOULD defend me, and make SURE I was safe, and those jerks got “their just due”.
SO...I DO know...that stuff DOES happen..especially if a fag hates someone who is a Christian and vulnerable.

I would wager, given the demographic group your abusers belonged to and the era of event, that each one of them died a horrific and humiliating death from untreated AIDS. Although I can barely imagine going through what you went through, I would recommend that as a Christian you pray for your oppressors that our Lord have mercy on their wicked souls.
Glad you escaped, even though your car didn’t. Chances are most of them were molested; and they molested others who will also be perverts.
May they open their hearts to God and receive the healing and peace that only comes from Him.

Media Research Center's Brent Bozell noticed the disparity in coverage at the time. He cornered a Newsweek editor and asked him about it. Similar crimes, similar issues, identical outcomes for Shepard and Dirkhising. So why no coverage of the Dirkhising murder, zero, zip, in the MSM?

I would, if I were you, consult a practical guide to self-protection (several available in e.g. the U.S. Cavalry catalog), and decide what you are going to do about your situation.
There is a fairly broad range of responses available to you, from having an attorney write a letter to methods mentioned by other posters. Read, and heed, the advice handed out in the conflict-resolution guides. Choose a responsible author (nobody with "Dawg" or "Killer" in his handle), and read for retention.
Toronto had it’s own Jesse Dirkhising, going by the name of Emanuel Jaques, a 12 year-old shoeshine boy who was lured off Yonge Street, gang-raped over 12 hours before being strangled and drown in a sink. Three homosexuals, Robert Wayne Kribs, Josef Woods and Werner Gruener got life for this horrific crime, and yet the gay community has been highly successful in suppressing the case and our Liberal media here never brings it up anymore. If you relate this true incident to your average Torontonian today, they’ll look at you like you’re a delusional homophobe. Gay means happy-that’s all.

I must say that I am SURPRISED at the responses I received. I figured I would be made fun of, maligned, etc. After all.....some of my own FAMILY did not believe me/care at the time, and most still do not REALLY understand ‘how serious” things were.
It is a bit too late to do anything now. That was WAY over 20 years ago, as I said—in January 1987. The department store it happened at—A Harts/Big bear—is LONG out of business. I seem to remember hearing something about “Dan” Dying some time ago, or such. As for the other guys...I don’t even remember their names. Much of that last couple of weeks on that job seems to have been ‘erased” from my mind...other than that last day. Unusual...as I have a VERY good memory—from WAY before that.
