That is Diantha Harris of Asheville. Crazy teacher.
How do you know her? was she allowed to keep teaching?
This is what she did when she knew she was being filmed.
It makes you worry how much worse she is the other 99.99% of the time when she knows she is not being filmed.
So she was on Good behavior when this happened?
The parents of the McCain supporter should raise HELL in that school.
What a snot. It’s sad when the students are better people than the teacher.
This happened last year - I think the school board reprimanded her or maybe moved her - I’m sure they were only angry because it was filmed and seen.

I don't know if the school district ever followed through and fired her or if she is still "teaching" there.

In other words, once the heat died down the school district did nothing.
It should be criminal to berate children for not being like-minded. Had the opposite occurred, say someone berated a student who liked Obama in favor of McCain, what do you think would have happened to that teacher?
That's easy. She would have been branded a racist and barred from ever teaching again.
She might have been prosecuted for committing a hate crime too.
This teacher is ignorant and spouting a Dem party line. Bill Clinton and the Dems thought Iraq had WMD; most of Europe thought so. The Dems were for the war before they were against it.
As a former teacher (of Eng. speech, social studies), I would not want my child in a room where the teacher spoke only partly correct English--and certainly not when that bad English was used to indoctrinate my child in untrue partisan politics.. Unfortunately, if any were in today's schools that would be a faint hope.

I don’t care what else was right or wrong about this — telling a kid whose father is in Iraq that his dad might have to stay away from home for 100 years if McCain is elected is just wrong.

Our schools are failing because ignorant fools like this make up a large portion of the teachers. The knowledge gap between American students and foreign students grows larger every year an American stays in school past the twelfth grade. That says a lot about the quality of the teachers and their curriculum.
