German unemployment fell again in September, helped by the usual seasonal decline that accompanies the end of the summer holiday period, the Federal Labor Office reported Wednesday.

Even after seasonal adjustments, the number of jobless fell by 12,000, resulting in an unemployment rate of 8.2%. Economists polled earlier by Dow Jones Newswires had predicted a rise of 25,000 in seasonally adjusted unemployed and a jobless rate of 8.3%.

The Federal Labor Office also revised down the drop in seasonally adjusted unemployed in August to 6,000 from an initial estimate of only 1,000.

In unadjusted terms, the number of jobless fell more sharply, by over 125,000 to 3.346 million, or 8.0% of the workforce.

The Germans get surprising economic news which puts smiles on their faces.

How come we always seems to get the other kind of surprising economic news?

Because they are electing tax cutters while we elect tax raisers.

Germany, as a whole isn’t spending hundreds of billions nation building and saving the world. Alot easier to be more fiscally sound.

Angela Merkel: Lower taxes, cut spending.
The Zero: Raise taxes, spend like there’s no tomorrow.

Guess which one will win?..................

Germany does not have an Islamo-Marxist muslim running their country.

The Germans also do not give away homes and endless benefits to 10 + million illegals and 30 + million ACORN voter types.

And the center-right gubermint will drop taxes soon. Watch their economy dramatically improve. Will Obama see and understand the lesson? not a chance.

The laws of economics are ALWAYS a "surprise" to Keynesian leftists.

Here's a clue: If the actual behavior of an economy is nearly always a "surprise", your economic theories are likely WRONG.

The Germans had a Cash for Clunkers program too.

Except it was only good if the new vehicle purchased was built in Germany.

To my knowledge their use of unemployment benefits works more efficiently than ours. We pay people to do nothing, while they pay people and they stay at work.

Unemployment benefits are generally a form of insurance and while the government has a monopoly on it...I tend to think the German model is a lot better than the American model. It’s not often that I agree with the European view of things, but in this case I do.

Given how many foreign cars were sold during cash for clunkers, maybe we stimulated THEIR economy.

The most statistiks i’ve seen on germanys “cash for clunkers” showed that about 30% was spend on german cars. The clue is that german built parts are everywhere. Even toyota buys bearings, complete steering, pistons and other parts from germany.

The german auto industry isn’t merc,vw and bmw. It’s all the smaller companies that engineer and build all the essential parts beside the engine and the chassis.
The largest of these are Bosch,VDO and FAG. There is almost no car in the world that doesn’t contain a huge ammount of german build parts.

Germany isn’t disneyland.
In 2008 they spent avg. 43,5 % of their income on:
taxes, national health-, pension-, unemployment-, long term care insurance.

And Merkel recently said she won’t cut taxes.

Germany is not disneyland but anymore it is less corrupt than America and they do not elect muslims to run their country. They did elect a psychotic and homocidal Austrian though.
