Stuck in the shallows (Garrison Keillor Again Calls for Genocide of Republicans)
Chicago Tribune ^ | 9/30/2009 | Garrison Keillor

Posted on 09/30/2009 10:27:58 AM PDT by Jack Wilson

... one starts to wonder if the country wouldn't be better off without them and if Republicans should be cut out of the health-care system entirely and simply provided with aspirin and hand sanitizer. Thirty-two percent of the population identifies with the GOP, and if we cut off health care to them, we could probably pay off the deficit in short order.

And they claim we're divisive
It now strikes me that "divisive" and "diversity" have the same root . . .

The first problem with his attitude is that we produce 80% of this nation’s GDP.

Hence the spirit of "Divide and Conquer".
Why battle an entire enemy when you can split them up, or even better, pit them against each other.

I used to know a woman who worked for Keillor on his radio show. She said he tried to have sex with all the pretty women that worked for him. She quit her job and moved out of Minnesota. I haven’t listened to Keillor since.

Even before I discovered what a hate-filled lefty scumbag he is, I couldn't stand Keillor's schtick. Stumbled across it a few times on the radio, listened for around 3 minutes and then kept surfing. I found it to be cloying and utterly phony. Wonder if this four-eyed fraud would give up his top-of-the-line private healthcare package for a gubmint one?

Republican Genocide? Make the first move, Gary boy!

Lake Wobegon, that was it, downhill ever since. The guy rode one funny bit for forty years and never came up with anything else. Sad really.

Trade off:

The left can have the blue states with their pure democracy and planned economies.

The conservative red states can have a free market based economy with a limited republican form of government.

In 20 years, we shall see who has the better healthcare system and growing economy.

All the rhetorical excess of his opinion piece is to say: “Pass healthcare Reform.”

Within that term itself we have the problem of the entire leftist agenda and the media that allows them to propagandize.

They have the majority and it is so noxious and poisonous that even they can’t pass it.

First of all, it is not REFORM. Reform is careful, prudent and evolutionary change meant to preserve what is good in a system. This sort of leftist agenda is Revolution, Takeover, Socialism or Re-Invention — certainly not reform.

Second, it is a program wholely unsuitable for the Federal Government and its Constitution. Our Federal system is meant for states to have the general government to address broad issues like this, not the limited Federal Government.

Where the Federal Government has stuck its nose into healthcare what has been its track record? Medicare and Medicade, even with state involvment left-handedly have been finacial disasters. Federal mandates of other health measures have been pure idioatic excess and driven costs up for items like a Russian Interpreter (or others as needed) available, on-call for every hospital.

Little Garrison needs to understand that his oh so charming personality from Lake WillBeBroke with all its charm can’t convice the population that Destruction is Reform.

By what authority would anyone, including the government, be able to “cut off” health care to anyone, let alone “GOP”ers?

You aren't that naive are you?
