Multiple sources on the Hill have told The Foundry that as early as next week, the Senate could be debating Obamacare. Senate Majority Leader Reid has stated an intention to take the HELP Committee product and merge it with the Senate Finance Committee markup that is expected to be over by this Thursday or Friday. Their plan is to proceed to a House passed non-health care bill to provide a shell of legislation to give Obamacare a ride to the House and then straight to the President’s desk.

Really? Why call Reid? I figure he’s as lost a cause as Pelosi, so I’ve been concentrating on Blue Dog types, plus a little spine reinforcement for Repubs and sticking the knife in the loopy Dems on occasion. Like when I told Pelosi to eave the Air Force alone and use her broom...

You see it doesn't make sense. This law, passed now without taking effect until 2013 is nonsensical.
Just reading what I posted and wondering...what's in there, what is hiding in this legislation that we're missing, or is it in amendments to be slipped in late at night? We're missing something in this bill or in the versions we're able to get our hands on. If this bill were the great insurance reform act...why wait until 2013? The bill passed would put it out in the public for 3 years to read and used against the democrats during the campaign of both 2010 and Presidential campaign of 2012.
We're missing something, the strategy doesn't make sense.
