“Way too pricey to even think about.”

Yep. I went to the Barcelona Olympics, and the tickets seemed a bit expensive, but after that they basically doubled in price. I couldn’t imagine going now.

BTW, I heard today on the radio that the average family of four attending an NFL game spends over $400.00, including parking, tickets, food, program and hats. At the new stadium in Dallas, that total is over $700.00. (At that rate, there had better be NO lines for the restroom!)

A nuke does not have to be fired by a missile or dropped by a plane to be deployed. It can be planted in a city in about 100,000 different ways and nobody will realize it until after it is all over.

You gotta be kidding. I wouldn’t go to the olympics if they held it in the field behind the grocery store down the road from my house and gave away free corn dogs.

Why the hate?

My son goes to Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago. We love to go visit him. It seems to be a safe clean city as long as you stay where you belong.

If I got decent tickets and could crash in his dorm I’d go. He’s a slow learner so he just might still be there in 7 years.

Drudge headline link showing it looks like it’s between Rio and Chicago ... I put Rio first as my choice. Who would want to go to the ghetto anyway? Oh, forgot, Michelle.

“I wouldn’t go to Chicago if they gave it to me!”

Got stopped towing a race car through there in 56 and luckily I had enough smarts to have a $30 follded up under my drivers license.

They can keep that corrupt hole!!!

The equestrian events will be replaced by pit bull fighting.

I also did the 84 Olympics. It was amazing. The local traffic stayed home. I drove everywhere so easily.

It isn't hate--it is the fact of the crime rate and sleazy corruption in Chicago. I was there about 20 years ago in a 5 star hotel on Michigan Ave. and my husband and I got scared to death within a block of our hotel by a black guy evidently high on something, who came toward us saying scary things about whitey and what he intended to do. We crossed the street and did not look at him or acknowledge him. Also, the govt. housing was horrible and the el trains, too.

No thanks!

Yes, Chicago is interesting and parts are beautiful, but is run by those on the dark side. If they get the games, I think the tickets should read--"Come here at your own risk."

I wouldn’t attend an Olympic event if it was free and across the street.

Moody Bible and Chicagolady are about the only good things in Chicago other than the Bears, Sox, and Bulls. I have made it a point not to ever give Chicago any more of my money and even though I went there a lot in the 80’s and 90’s I have avoided the city since 2000 and I live in Illinois.

Chicago Sucks and so do most of the people who elect the bums that have destroyed the state of Illinois. I hope Rio gets the Olympics but we all know Obama is going to Copenhagen to pick up his gift.

Tokyo is out because Beijing, an Asian city just had it and London is getting it next and Athens had it in 2000. Australia had it in 2004. So North or South America haven’t had it recently. Rio should be saying that South America has never had the games. It’s our turn.

I intend to go either way. We will surely know some athletes that year. Chicago would be easier than rio.
