Bill Frist on Health Bill: I'd Vote For It (What the heck?)
TIME ^

Posted on 10/03/2009 3:53:35 AM PDT by BillyKess

Or so the former Senate Republican Leader, a surgeon who has written a new book on health care, told me a few minutes ago in an interview.

Were he still in the Senate, "I would end up voting for it," he said. "As leader, I would take heat for it. ... That's what leadership is all about."

Has my entire nation become shy to use the words Marxist-Socialism to describe the system that is quickly entrapping us? Or is it that the overwhelming majority of Americans are so far removed from education in the political sciences to understand what socialism has done to whole groupings of countries? Are we so entirely duped?

Bill Frist in the Bush years was no conservative. I felt he was a weak-sister when in congress and part and parcel of the GOP failures and problems.

Ding Ding Ding — we have got a winner!

All of corporate healthcare, be it providers or suppliers, support anything that will protect their cash flow and bottom line in the future. They do not care if it is private dollars or tax dollars that flow into their coffers. The HCA’s of the world know that the current reimbursement system is unsustainable given Medicare's looming insolvency coupled with the economy being in shambles. After all, the paramount duty of a CEO is to maximize profit and return to their stockholders. Kind of a catch 22, we have met the enemy and he are us situation. We support personal freedom and capitalism as long as it does not interfere with our return on investment.

Does the msm seriously think that they're surprising the world by finding a Republican now and then who's for this crap? I personally think that the surprise is the universal opposition by Republicans to the socialist bill that keep coming out of Congress.

Merriam Webster On-line - universal

3 a : embracing a major part or the greatest portion (as of humankind) b : comprehensively broad and versatile
