Those with any doubt what a good move it was for Fox News to pick up Glenn Beck look no further than the chart below. His average viewership at 5pm exceeded the combined viewership of his three cable news network competitors every night in September. On six nights he had twice the combined viewership.

He used to be on CNN right? Was his show the same? Did he have good ratings back then? What happened? Did they fire him or he left?
I’m guessing the boycott is another epic fail.
They should move him to 7:00 P.M.
Beck had OK ratings on CNN, but he was not a good fit there. Wrong audience. Fox stole Beck away from CNN.
He was on Headline News, I believe.
He simply is. Would you have ever envisioned Bill O Reilly as the king of cable news? I never would have. Ailes is a very shrewd man.
I think they limited what he could investigate and didn’t give him any resources or help.
The only times I ever flipped over to CNN was for the Occasional Beck or Dobbs show.
This is not good!
I don’t get the Don Imus thing though. I think he is the wrong fit. Perhaps he is trying to appeal to more moderate viewers to get them to start watching the Fox brand.
One thing you can say for Oreally is that he is very stable. Beware the meteoric rise, you heard it here first....
In a old school pretend to be a populist while being just another elitest J school product sort of way. Only problem is the fundamental fraud at BOR core is getting more and more transparent. He works because there is no sane place else to go at his time slot. Give a reasonable alternative to BOR anywhere in the media and his audience vanishes.
When he had Juan in last night instead of Laura . . . I thought that was very telling of BOR leaning as of late.
Glenn ROCKS~!!! I signed up for that Patriot Mom website earlier this week. Can you imagine a million or more Mom’s marching on DC? What would the left call us?
I forgot what the website title is. can you give it to me?
BOR is a narcissist and a blowhard: not very smart either. All he cares about is getting whomever he wants on his show.
I never turn the tv on and tell myself gee i can’t miss
BOR. Now if Beck was on at that time when I turn on tv i would say i have to see what Beck is saying.
ONly reason to turn on BOR is that is a good time to sit down for a few minutes and watch a little tv
CNN is shown on the TV’s throughout my office (big company, 30+ story building in manhattan).
I find that as offensive as I’m sure the libs would find Fox. I’d bring it up but I don’t want to take the chance on threatening my job.
I wonder if they would feel that they’d be threatening their jobs by making a stink about Fox being on?
