Well, he was a black man who got elected. That was his only accomplishment before the Nobel nomination. The Nobel prize was given to him as piece of international affirmative action.
It’s ridiculous that the selection process has become so politicized that the peace award is being given to charlatans and fakes rather than those who’ve worked for real peace their whole lives....

Well, the formerly prestigious award has no meaning now.
