LOL!

This is nothing more than receiving the now defunct Stalin Peace Prize. Maybe obuma can start wearing medals as big as garbage can lids like the old Russian generals. Leftist morons of the world rejoice.

I find it hysterically ironic that Obama wins this award right after SNL skewers him for having accomplished nothing.

He's the third sitting U.S. President to win. The other two?

Teddy Roosevelt, whose progressive "Square Deal" domestic policy ushered in such things as the Interstate Commerce Commission and Woodrow Wilson, the man who ushered in the Federal Reserve Act and the Federal Income tax. The man who's second presidential run centered around the slogan "He kept us out of War" (WWI).

Ah, the world does love a progressive.

Can anyone tell me who was the last Republican or Conservative leader from any Country that received this award? Just curious....

In 67 AD the Roman Emporer Nero won the Gold Medal (actually laurel leaves) in the Olympics for that year in the chariot race even though he fell out of his chariot and didn’t finish. The judges awarded him first place anyway by saying that “had he finished he would have won.” 1,942 years later the Nobel Committee awards the Nobel Peace Prize to Obama even thought he hasn’t done anything because if he had done something it would have been significant.

We should be more charitable in our thoughts about the Peace Prize Committee. After all, who were the other nominees? Chavez? Ahmadinejad? Mugabe? Given Pres. Obama’s list of thankfully non-accomplishments, perhaps he was the least bad option.

Four of the younger teachers I saw this AM said exactly that. “What did he do to get this?” Actually I was listening to Santorum on Bill Bennett and heard this and thought it was a clever satire. Even the interview with the Nobel committee head sounded like it was from John Semmens or The Onion. Unbelievable!!

Can we crown him King of the World already?

This is a man who has never really worked and has “earned” awards all his life. Lazy is the new road to success, kids.

I’m sure we’ll all remember this “honor” when the nukes are flying at us from Russia or China or Iran or North Korea.

Adolph Hitler, Man of the YearGreatest single news event of 1938 took place on September 29, when four statesmen met at the Führerhaus, in Munich, to redraw the map of Europe. The three visiting statesmen at that historic conference were Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain of Great Britain, Premier Edouard Daladier of France, and Dictator Benito Mussolini of Italy. But by all odds the dominating figure at Munich was the German host, Adolf Hitler. more...

Wow, what a great piece of writing. Do you know who wrote it? The only gap is the non-mention of Stalin. How far has Time sunk!

Being an appeaser is all the credential one needs to win the Nobel Peace Prize!

Exactly. People would laugh a white person with zero accomplishments out of the room. The only difference here is the Prez's skin color. Its reverse racism from the Eurotrash!
