Democrats Called Foley Guilty of Sex Crimes
American Spectator ^ | 09 oct 09 | Jeffrey Lord

The magic number is 16.

Just last night, on Sean Hannity's Fox Show, ABC's George Stephanopoulos said in defense of the liberal media's non-coverage of Kevin Jennings, that a person's entire career should be taken into consideration before they are sent packing from public service.

Fair enough.

So let's talk what Democrats call "sex crimes," shall we? What the media, Nancy Pelosi were about on this issue back in the fall of 2006.

And what Kevin Jennings considers to be a real "threat to children."

Let's talk about gays, gay bashing, anti-gay bigotry, sexual predators, Kevin Jennings, Harry Hay, Nancy Pelosi, Mark Foley -- and a liberal double standard that is bigger than the Grand Canyon.

First, the scorecard (so to speak.) The players.

• Kevin Jennings -- Mr. Jennings is the Obama administration's Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, or, if you like, in the political vernacular of the moment, the "Safe Schools Czar." Mr. Jennings is a gay activist of considerable reputation in the gay community, as one can learn from his own website.

• Harry Hay -- Mr. Hay, who died in 2002, was a famous and long-time gay rights activist. He was also a notable supporter of "man-boy love," a hero of the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). Among his views on the subject was this famous quote, made at a 1983 New York University forum: "Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what thirteen-, fourteen-, and fifteen-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world."

We must not question the double standards of the Corleone party.

George Stephanopoulos' evasive defense of Jennings suggests he's into the same sort of thing as Jennings.

He's been on the air entirely too long to slip up without a good reason. Maybe he wants back in the White House.

So glad someone is bringing this glaring hypocrisy to light. I was screaming ‘What about Foley?’ last night while watching Hannity’s interview with Georgie boy. I couldn’t believe it when Hannity missed the opportunity to bring up Foley when George said he didn’t think Jennings should be ‘driven from public office’.

Hannity dropped the ball last night imho.

Not much space left in a room for anything to be dropped because of Hannity’s over-inflated head.

Hannity is a great American and one of the ‘good guys’.He normally does a very good job, but for the last two nights he has fallen short in his interviews imho. First with Michael Moore and then with Georgie Boy. He missed some golden opportunities to slap down both of them.

Frankly, getting George Stephanopoulos to "defend" Jennings is a win-win.

He's now out in the open regarding the NAMBLA thing.

What more would you like Hannity to have said?

Jennings vs. Foley is a tad different ~ one is an appointee, the other guy had been elected, but here we have a major TV network Sunday Morning talking head, former White House guy defending pedophilia ~

I think you just saw George Stephanopoulos' cachet collapse.

Just nail his head up there next to Dan Rather's.

“Hannity dropped the ball last night imho.”

Should read “Hannity dropped the ball AGAIN last night.”
I like Sean. He just isn’t that sharp. Show after show he proves it.

It isn't about "elected" or "appointed". It is about their hypocracy! Either you condemn both or you defend both. Period!

Stephanopolous was defending the indefensible, and he knew it. I have never heard him sound so inarticulate. He was stuttering and fumbling for words the entire time, even though Hannity was generally conducting a softball interview.

"hypocrisy" is one of those things that Moslems and Leftwingtards supposedly keep their eyes on. The Koran, in fact, says "Kill the hypocrites" ~ and if you let them, the Leftwingtards would be stringing each other up on a daily basis.

However when you have a major talking head for one of the networks (ABC) sitting there defending a guy who is deep into defending pedophilia (and works in the White House) you've got a far bigger story than to compare Jennings to Foley.

I will certainly remember that Stephanopoulos is "more than soft" on pedophilia after this, as should you.

There are a number of sources of a Q&A with Stephanopoulos regarding Foley from "way back when" it all happened. I just read through several of them and George doesn't mention what Foley did in reality (beyond an "x-rated email" reference), just what the political fallout would be. Now we understand why George didn't want to talk about what Foley was alleged to have really done or said ~ he might, after all, slip up and admit he had no problem with that sort of thing.

The focus on the e-mails, none of which were sent to little kids, was not really as damaging as the tales of Foley waiting outside the Page Barracks at night but George managed to ease the attention away from that kind of behavior.

You tell me we don't know what George is up to now? He changed the focus of the newsthread from typical pedophile behavior (hanging around young children) to tawdry e-mails to adults, and avoided having an investigation uncover what other pedophiles there might be in Congress or in George's own acquaintance. The Jennings Affair is simply the second best known instance of George trying to steer away the prying eyes.

These guys hang together!

-—and the Republidums largely stand by like deer in the headlights—

For years, and yes continuing until today, Republicans have been restricted by their own moral values. While the Democrats have no values they, and their media lapdogs, insist that the Republicans be held to the highest standards of morals and decorum.

Some conservatives, some of whom I consider Leftist moles, will caution, "We don't want to become like them!" to further handcuff our efforts to combat evil. We must at least do as this article has done, point out their hypocrisy and challenge them on it. Unfortunately, conservative news outlets are few and the population in general is not very curious - they just accept the slanted headlines of the MSM.

So, like most issues today, these things are more complicated than just a bumper sticker comment. Do you want us to become them or to still follow our principles and fight with both hands tied behind our backs?
