Political commentator Scott Jennings said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump is an “&-+$#@$” for asking where his competitor, Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Nikki Haley’s (R-SC) husband was when he was serving overseas in the U.S. military. At a campaign rally, Trump said, “Where’s her husband? Oh, he’s away. He’s away. What happened to her husband? what happened to her husband? Where is he? He’s gone.”

Federal Judge Marcia Morales Howard in Florida issued a preliminary injunction against President Joe Biden’s plan to offer loan forgiveness to black and other minority farmers but not to indebted white farmers, and said it is an attempt to address discrimination while practicing discrimination. Howard, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush, wrote in the decision: The Constitution’s promise of equal justice under the law is that the government will treat people as individuals, not simply as members of their racial group. “In the eyes of government, we are just one race here. It is American,” 515 U.S....

For weeks, the “Jeopardy!” phenomenon James Holzhauer had been unstoppable. He set the record for the most money won in one episode, holds the second spot on the list, and the next 14. Eleven times during his winning streak, he went a whole game without buzzing in incorrectly. For fans, the question was not whether he would surpass the $2.52 million Ken Jennings won during his record 74-game winning streak in 2004, but when. The correct response: What is never? In the prerecorded episode that aired on Monday, Holzhauer’s “Jeopardy!” reign came to an end with his 33rd game, a...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday he plans to confirm three of President Trump’s judicial nominees by the end of the week, continuing to fulfill the president’s promise to remake the federal bench with conservative jurists. If all three of his picks are cleared this week, it will bring the total number of Mr. Trump’s district court picks to 17 that have been confirmed since the president took office. Claria Horn Boom, who was nominated more than 300 days ago...
  • The death of Peter Jennings and the state of the American media (Media flashback)

From an objective standpoint, that ABC television devoted virtually all of its “World News Tonight” August 8 to the death by lung cancer of its former anchorman Peter Jennings was rather astonishing. The war in Iraq continues, starvation stalks Niger, the price of oil is soaring, the Japanese government has collapsed—and ABC felt that it should give over its nightly review of international affairs to a man who, when all is said and done, was best known for reading the news. Rival news programs, on NBC and CBS, also dedicated an inordinate amount of time to Jennings’ passing. One can...

After hearing about Obama's executive order that all colleges and schools k-12 will guarantee that all transgendered people will have restroom accommodations, and considering the Supreme Courts ruling of basically stating that gay people are normal, I thought some may enjoy reading what posted here 3 years ago. Then it was an excerpt, but here is the full article. I added an update in quotes to one part. WASHINGTON (AP) - An American accused in court papers of having ties to Osama bin Laden is now working for the Iraqi government's Foreign Ministry, U.S. officials and a former CIA counterterrorism chief say. Iraqi-born Tarik A. Hamdi was the ``American contact'' for one of bin Laden's front organizations and gave a satellite telephone battery to a bin Laden aide in Afghanistan for a phone used by the terrorist leader, according to an affidavit from Customs Agent David Kane. The affidavit was unsealed this week in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., along with a federal indictment charging Hamdi with lying...

Fresno Police say a man fearing for the safety of his family sprang into action today after seeing another man with a gun at a Dollar Tree store. Police say the man with the gun, 31-year-old Tyrece Jefferson, approached a clerk at the store and demanded money. The man who was with his wife and 5-month-old baby wrestled the would-be robber out the front door and forced him to the ground, holding him until police arrived to arrest him. Police say the gun ended up going off while the man was taken down, but no one was hurt. It all...

Federal lawsuits allege that jails in the St. Louis County towns of Ferguson and Jennings operate essentially as modern-day debtors’ prisons, where minor traffic offenses can lead to extended periods behind bars. Two lawsuits were filed Sunday on behalf of people who have spent time in jail for failure to pay fines for traffic violations and minor offenses. The suits representing 11 people jailed in Ferguson and nine in Jennings were filed by the nonprofit Equal Justice Under Law of Washington, the St. Louis nonprofit ArchCity Defenders, and Saint Louis University School of Law. …

Chris Jennings, a top adviser to President Barack Obama who played a key part in the rollout of his signature healthcare law, is leaving the White House for health and family reasons, an aide told Reuters. Jennings, who previously served in the Clinton administration, was brought on board last year before the flawed rollout of the program created one of the biggest political problems Obama has faced since entering office. "Chris served the country at a time when he was needed most," White House chief of staff Denis McDonough said in a statement.

TEL AVIV – A staunch denier of the Holocaust who long served as the deputy of late PLO leader Yasser Arafat served on the committee that invented the military doctrine used by President Obama as the main justification for U.S. and international airstrikes against Libya. As WND first reported, billionaire philanthropist George Soros is a primary funder and key proponent of the Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect, the world's leading organization pushing the military doctrine. Several of the doctrine's main founders sit on multiple boards with Soros. The doctrine and its founders, as WND reported, have been deeply tied...
  • Obama Linked To NAMBLA: North American Man Boy Lust Association

Kevin Jennings is the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools czar, appointed by Obama’s Education Secretary, Arne Duncan. Kevin Jennings is a homosexual and the poster boy for NAMBLA, the North American Man Boy Love Association of pedophiles. Child molesters. NAMBLA is exactly what it sounds like. It’s an organization that promotes sex between grown men and young boys. Once, when Jennings was teaching at a private school, a 15 year old male student told him that he was having sex with an “older man” he met in the restroom of a bus station. Jennings response was to encourage the...

Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings once again stretched his wings of power and vetoed a bill that would have allowed Albany homeowners the privilege to raise and house chickens (and definitely no roosters) in their backyards. (...) What I found amusing about Mayor Jennings argument is that he called the proposal “a flawed and “piecemeal approach” to the broader issue of urban agriculture.” Of course it’s a piecemeal approach, you first put the pieces together and then you enjoy a meal after the chickens are mature. What really is the concern here? A fear that residents are going to raise so...

Professors gone wild. That is the only conclusion you can come to when you apply Sherlock Holmes' astute dictum to the striking similarities between the widespread failures of American education and government, institutions universally dominated by a self-proclaimed "educated class." Think about what the great fictional detective said: "Once you eliminate the impossible whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." And so extracting the truth underlying the dysfunction of what the inimitable James Lewis more correctly terms our national corps of "educated idiots" (or, as our Harvard-educated president puts it more accurately, "corpse") one finds...professors. Professors have...

ABC News has learned that Richard Holbrooke, the US Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, has died. On Friday, Holbrooke was rushed to the hospital with a torn aorta. He went through more than 20 hours of surgery. Earlier this evening, speaking at the US State Department, President Obama sang Holbrooke's praises and called him "a tough son of a gun." Holbrooke, 69, was a former ambassador to the United Nations and served as chief negotiator at the Dayton Peace Accords, which ended the war in Bosnia. The New Yorker's George Packer wrote a nice story about Holbrooke last year,...

NAMBLA-gate: The Strange Case of Kevin Jennings, Part Two Hay, who inspired Jennings, was not apparently a formal member of NAMBLA. Sean Hannity of Fox News, who has called for the resignation of Obama Education Department official Kevin Jennings, interviewed a former FBI agent, Bob Hamer, who infiltrated the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) and documented their criminal activities. Asked if Jennings had been unaware of Hay’s pro-NAMBLA activities when he said that Hay had been an inspiration to him, Hamer replied that Jennings “knew the agenda of Harry Hay and he certainly supported Harry Hay and Harry Hay...

As the Obama administration enters its second year, I -- and undoubtedly millions of others -- have struggled to develop a shorthand term that captures our emotional unease. Defining this discomfort is tricky. I reject nearly the entire Obama agenda, but the term "being opposed" lacks an emotional punch. Nor do terms like "worried" or "anxious" apply. I was more worried about America's future during the Johnson or Carter years, so it's not that dictionary, either. Nor, for that matter, is this about backroom odious deal-making and pork, which are endemic in American politics.

GQ has a feature this month on Milwaukee Bucks' star Brandon Jennings in which Jennings expresses his desire to date the singer Ciara and his amazement that President Barack Obama knew who he was. You can find the whole story here. Jennings talks about his love of Twitter, which got him into a little trouble a few months back, and his love for Carnevor, the Milwaukee restaurant. Jennings tells writer Davy Rothbart that he met Obama during a stop in Washington. "I couldn't believe he even knew who I was," Jennings said. "He razzed if the older players were still...
