“She’s not even a moderate. She is a radical, ultraleftist who has an ‘R’ next to her name,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, chairwoman of Susan B. Anthony List, an organization that backs female candidates who oppose abortion and has endorsed Hoffman. “If we elect this woman, we’re going to be stuck with her for a very long time.”

She was endorsed by Markos Moulitsas, bad indeed.

On the Otherhand Doug Hoffmann was endorsed by Pro Life/Family Leaders as well as The Club For Growth, and the ACU!

I guess the problem in NY is that conservatives are a dying breed. I'm one, and some of my friends are. But even Republicans here don't seem to have a problem with rampant liberalism. It may well be that Ms. Scazzofava is the best chance to win this seat, but she won't be good for the party.

Well, apparently the GOP has not learned a thing. I thought they’d figure out their lunacy and change it for 2010, but maybe not. No reason yet to start donating again. Maybe 2012.

WHile it would hurt to put another democrat vote in the house during the health care debate, it sounds like the republican “pick” would probably support Obamacare anyway.

And we’ll probably get a much better candidate to win next November, so it will be a short time.

Sometimes, local party bosses can be really stupid.

The NRCC is not just stuck on stupid, they have INTENTIONALLY welded the shifter onto stupid.

This would explain the mccainiac push for homosexual marriage from his homosexual campaign aid recently.

I hope the NY conservatives stick to their guns.

NO WAY are they getting a single penny of my money.

Read through the whole article.

This is a microcosm of what is going to happen in 2010 in the GOP.

John Bonior reveals his stupidity once again.

Perceived electability trumps any positions the candidate has.

What should be a simple decision has turned into a Gordian knot.

Thanks to RINOs.

Dede Scozzafava - handpicked by former RINO par excellence Amo Houghton.

She is pro abortion and pro gay marriage.

The GOP is shameless. Condescending. Members of the late Roman aristocracy who fiddled while Rome’s borders were being ravaged.

They think that because she has an A from the NRA the southern tier gun rights “yahoos” will vote for this abomination.

She doesn’t even register on the GOP radar. She is a mole in the party, period.

“...even though their support for him might pave the way for a Democratic takeover...”

Better a quick death than a slow agonizing one that RINO’s will give us.

Also better to die a conservative than a sellout and a tool.

Expect more 0bama’s, and a more powerful left in general, if the right votes for(R)’s rather than what they value.

If people can’t see a difference they’ll stay home.

I know I will.

This is an outrage. We need to storm the NRCC before we can storm Congress in 2010. The time to act against these clowns is NOW. Heat up their phone lines and make sure their chosen liberals get smashed in the primaries.

First target is this woman.

Second should be McCain.

The New York State Republican Party is a rump party, looking after retaining its control over conservatives in the party and keeping its perks.

The national party usually refrains from interfering in state parties, but leave it to the New York GOP to push them over the edge. They were in a tight spot amid all the controversy and of course have to back the party's nominee.

The New York GOP leaders DON'T CARE IF THIS ELECTION GOES TO THE DEMOCRATS, as long as they continue to keep Republican conservatives at bay.

The RNC should put a stop to this. The Democrats have enough power in this state without being AIDED by the selfish pigs in the state leadership.

If Republicans cannot take back congress because of a looming intra-party war between conservatives and RINOs, perhaps the war needs to be fought first. Better than an alliance of convenience with the enemy.

This is why it is so important to actually become personally involved in the GOP. Withholding donations and voting conservative in the primaries isn’t enough. Conservatives need to be in charge of the GOP and that starts at the local level. As I’ve said before: the Republican leadership would rather see a liberal Democrat win than a conservative Republican. And nothing will change until we change it. Waiting for a knight in shining armor to come along and set the GOP right is a sure recipe for disaster. Real change begins with conservative grassroots activists.

The leftist will not step aside in the GOP. They refuse to recognize they are left of some Democrats. They hate Reagan. They love statism. They are more leftist now than the left was in the 1980s. And they paint those that remain true to conservative values as extreme, racist, cold-hearted, and conspiratorial.

There is a split in the GOP. Since they no longer have power it’s time to part company and rebuild.
