Obama points to growing momentum for health-care reform (RINO's)
Market Watch ^ | Oct. 10, 2009 | Kate Gibson

President Obama on Saturday urged Congress to "rise above the politics of the moment" and adopt healthcare legislation, saying the effort has gathered momentum in recent days, with Republicans, including California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Senate Majority leader Bill Frist, endorsing reform.

The Congressional Budge Office found the Senate Finance Committee's version of health care would make coverage affordable for millions now without it, "without adding a dime to our deficits," said Obama in his weekly radio address. Read more about bill's price tag.

When Schwarzenegger and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg earlier in the came out in support of health-insurance reform, they joined an "unprecedented consensus" that also includes Frist, a cardiac surgeon, and Bob Dole, like Frist a former GOP Senate majority leader, Obama said.

"These distinguished leaders understand that health-insurance reform isn't a Democratic issue or a Republican issue, but an American issue that demands a solution," the president said.

Written by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., the proposed legislation is expected by to pass the committee, which consists of 13 Democrats and 10 Republicans.

House and Senate negotiators would then need to come up with a single bill to send to Obama's desk for his signature.

Public opposition to the reform favored by Obama has dropped sharply in recent weeks, according to the latest poll by the Associated Press

"These distinguished leaders understand that health-insurance reform isn't a Democratic issue or a Republican issue, but an American issue that demands a solution," the president said.

“How can we pass judgment without knowing what’s in the bill?”

Doesn’t seem to stop the rinos...like the dems, they don’t read bills, there is just enough to pad their pockets that they approve.

Again

Bill frist has already stated that the Wash Compost twisted his response and he asked for a retraction !

Don't you get the Obama state media and DNC strategy here.
Keep telling the same Lies over and over. I have seen this same exact story published in twelve spots ( Ap, POlitico< NY Slimes, WSJ).
Market Watch is a CBS state media operation.
This week these Obama media drones cooked up a phony AP poll and misquoted GOP figures and tried to sell Bloomberg as a real republican.
Don't fall the state media propaganda.!!!!!!

Not from me! The RNC is playing the same old game again, trying to scare people into voting for a lesser evil. As a result we get forced further into a leftist tyranny with each election.

It's time to turn around!

Besides the Bush policies on amnesty and uncontrolled spending, a major reason for Republican fall from power in 2006 was the lack of leadership by Frist and Hastert. Even with majorities, they were unable to keep control and advance conservative agendas. Frist let the Gang of 14 take control of the judicial nominations.

To hear these architects of the Republican collapse speak out in support of Obama is a joke. The only guy missing from this bunch of morons is McCain.

This is the new meme or talking point. All the Dhimmis are doing it. Momentum is on their side. To them, up is down, in is out, sagging support means rising support. All the polls say the opposite. People must immediately destroy this argument and expose it as pure propaganda.

Bill Frist was on CNBC disputing the Post’s LIES. Remember people they are spewing propaganda morning, noon and night. They never rest. Neither can we.

How can we pass judgment without knowing what’s in the bill?

AND WHY DON'T WE KNOW WHAT'S IN THE BILL? The left don't want us to know. That should be the first clue.

"rise above the politics" ??? When the left rise above the politics, maybe.

Has anything the leftist done worked? Name one.

Dole Blasts McConnell as Barrier to Health Reform

Much is being made this week of the Obama administration’s efforts to showcase those Republicans who’ve come out in vocal support of health care reform this year, including former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Add to that list former Senate Majority Leader Robert Dole (R-Kans.). The one-time presidential candidate blasted current Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) this week for his persistent attempts to kill the Democrats’ legislation. From The Star of Kansas City:

“I want this to pass,” he said. “I don’t agree with everything Obama is presenting, but we’ve got to do something.”

He added: “I don’t want the Republicans putting up a ‘no’ sign and saying, ‘we’re not open for business.’”

Dole singled out one “very prominent Republican, who happens to be the Republican leader of the Senate,” The Star reported.

Yes, let's listen to those in "the party" who opposed the idea of "The Contract With America," and have done all they could to reverse it. They managed to engineer the stunning losses in the house and senate during the last two congressional and senatorial races. I guess they just figure that since going left the last two cycles didn't really help (it actually got their butts handed to them!), if they go REALLY hard left, maybe the pubbies will do better this time.

I wasn't going to vote for McCain until he selected Governor Palin. I'm still pissed off at the way they treated her. If the republicans pull this crap again, they'll lose me forever, and yes, I realize that the next election could mean the end of the USA as we know it. To quote someone from Viet Nam, "maybe we need to burn the village down to save it."

What kind of reform and how much is it going to cost me personally? You never see them throwing around a number that estimates the cost to the tax payer.

Exactly, please wake up here.
Its NO coincidence that a phony AP poll is dropped the same week the CBO released an odd analysis which clearly stated its needs a REAL BILL to complete a real IMPACT but the media IGNORED that. Please recall Obama dragged the CBO chief inot the WH in August and threatened him. Can you impagine the state media if Bush had done That !!!
The the Compost and Time and the NY Slimes push a misquote from Frist to cook up the new propaganda line that see all the Repub like radical socialism too.
Please note not a SINGLE GOP congressman is QUOTED in this latest propaganda attack.

this is the same scam the state media tried for Amnesty !!!!
fake polls , misquotes , New momentum angle, blah, blah, blah.
Don't fall for it !
Call the SOBs on Monday and Tuesday and stop this Obama death care NOW!

Frist was taken out of context which he explained on his site which the media refuses to acknowledge. He even talks about how it is necessary to have tort reform so NO he does not support this bill.
