Our democracy is over 200 years old, but we now ignore the constitution to allow an inelligible man to be president.
Democracy is always weak, and must always be fought for.

Remember they were much more forgiving of Saddam. Of course, it reminded them of the time when outsiders interfered with their dictator.

Jiri Oberfalzer, a member of the Czech senate and Klauss closest ally, said Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, had already threatened the Czechs with expulsion from the EU. That would be the best thing that could happen to the Czech Republic.
Under the Czech constitution a president can be impeached only if he commits high treason against the countrys independence or its territorial integrity and democratic order.
President Klaus is doing the exact opposite. It sounds like he is standing by his country's constitution and protecting its sovereignty. He's the best hope for stalling for time against this horrible abomination. Three cheers for President Klaus!

hmmmm... wasn't there another incident in the past between Germany and Czekosovakia? Something about Germany wanting one thing done and the Czechs want another. Seem to remember it was a precursor to series of events that weren't nice.
