Though a rather poor machine translation, the Google translation basically says the right things. Except the first paragraph which should refer to an attack on the (holy) city of Ghom about which I am not clear and they do not make to clear as they seem to refer to something over 40-years ago.
the article does not say much one way or the other about the actual facts and refers the current opinons in diplomatic cicles on his having died on the fact that his personal doctors were summoned to his bedside.
We are following up on this but cannot reach some alternate sources we have. Will revert as soon as something emerges.
What you say makes sense...
Whoops... I was just going to ping you on this one. At this point we can only wonder at the past few days cold shoulder by the Russians with Hillary. Did they know what happened days ago. I guess things will unfold as the validity checks ramp up.
The Russkies are likely trying to play a hand in this game...
Sooooo,,,Now what happens ?...
The new corpse is KHAMENEI (kh-aa-meh-neh-yee)
The spelling is different but the pronunciation is similar: kha-maniac ! The President is I-been-a-nut-job! And their Libyan ally is Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddaffy-duck.
What happens now?
We wait for a corpse to be declared dead.
Alan is writing an update which should go up in abut 15 minutes on the Main page (http://antimullah.com)
Thanks for the ping!
TANKS a bunch,,,
Watchin’ close...
Bueno.
good question . . .
power grab . . . ayatollahs vs. IRGC???
Thanks for asking so I didn’t have to.
Yikes! What was the occasion for bammy’s tears in your photo?
I think of that, and think of that lone Muslim representative, whoever he was, that was invited to President Reagan's funeral.
He sat there in his robes, with his one foot ontop of his opposite knee, exposing the sole of his foot, thinking that he had just put one over on the stupid Americans.
But I wasn't fooled.
I knew that the Holy Spirit was at that funeral, and that he was FORCED to listen to the resplendent manner in which we lay our honored dead to rest.
He was FORCED to listen to our great Christian Hymns and Patriotic Songs.
I remember being especially moved when the Chorus of Servicemen sang "Mansions of the Lord."
There is no sacred music in Islam; Allah does not inspire such, I guess.
The heart is not full and overflowing and longing to praise Him, as with our Beloved Lord.
The awesome dignity and beauty of that funeral will forever be in my memory.
Now I am close to tears, as I think of how blessed I am to live in such a country, and to have been availed of the Faith that I have.
power grab . . . ayatollahs vs. IRGC???
~~~
It could very well be a power grab,,,
Too early to tell,,,
We’ll see...
This IRGC power grab has been in process for a while. Without the Supreme Ruler to “dislodge” they may simply insist n a Supreme Council
Good evaluation from American.com
The passing of Khamenei would represent a seismic shift in the Islamic Republics power equations. With no successor-designate, Khameneis death would unleash a huge power struggle.
Several things will happen once Khamenei dies. Officially, the Assembly of Experts, currently headed by former President Hashemi Rafsanjani, anoints the next Supreme Leader. Behind the scenes, however, the major power brokerswhether on the assembly or notwill jockey for power and seek consensus. If the decision is fractious, the assembly may decide to appoint a clerical council in the interregnum period.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) will seek to influence the selection, either of the interregnum council or of the next Supreme Leader. The most radical scenariobut an increasingly plausible onewould be for the IRGC to lobby to abolish the institution of leadership, thereby transforming the Islamic Republic into a presidential system and giving ultimate power to current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a veteran of the IRGC and its primary benefactor.
Under any circumstance, governance in the Islamic Republic is fast degenerating into a military dictatorship with an eclectic ideology composed of Shia Messianism, Iranian nationalism, and populism.
Let me help. I keep track of this stuff. He's the one with the beard and the turban.
“would be for the IRGC to lobby to abolish the institution of leadership, thereby transforming the Islamic Republic into a presidential system and giving ultimate power to current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a veteran of the IRGC and its primary benefactor.”
I’m leaning toward this,,,
Maybe civil war...
