No. 4 · Bill I actually interned in Walker's chambers. I didn't pick up on any overtly gay signals (I'm gay myself), but a friend of mine who later worked for him was adamant that he was gay. Neither of us worked up the nerve to ask him directly. He came across as fairly conservative. He was also a Reagan appointee, and before becoming a judge he represented the US Olympic Committee in a trademark suit against the Gay Olympics. So anyone thinking the outcome of the Prop 8 suit is preordained is off by a long shot. Posted: Jul 8, 2009 at 2:09 am
No. 5 · Chris I don't know where this author got the idea that some judge other than Walker will handle the trial. That is not true. Walker will handle all aspects of the case, including the trial, until it goes up on appeal. Posted: Jul 8, 2009 at 4:21 pm
No. 7 · keith HE'S GAY! It's pretty well known around SF that he is gay. But, don't count on that swaying his decisions or rulings. He may be gay, but that won't affect his decisions. Posted: Aug 17, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Need we ask any further questions about why this judge is adamant that the will of the people be overturned?
Good read. The other thread should be on breaking news instead, but what the hail.
Isn’t that the way it always is in Califeeernia?
“I didn’t pick up on any overtly gay signals (I’m gay myself), but a friend of mine who later worked for him was adamant that he was gay.”
They also swear that Abe Lincoln was gay...
We have here what we call a begged question when it comes to dealing with this new invented institution of "gay marriage." I hope that ultimately the Supreme Court will affirm that (though sadly, it could be a 5-4 decision).
Any seemingly misfit male, they want to claim as “gay.” They are lower than a toad’s toenail.
