An Italian couple are suing a shipping line for £2,800 after claiming they were not told a relaxing holiday they had booked was in fact on board a ship hosting Italy's first gay cruise.
The middle-aged husband and wife, who have not been named, said they were embarrassed after spotting people they knew, but had not realised were gay, on the cruise. Despite accusations from gay groups, they deny being homophobic. Organisers insist the three-day cruise featured no scenes of excess.

bwahahahahahahahahahahaaha! sue sue sue!
7 lousy seconds.
No scenes of excess.....hmmmm, for gays that probably means no public orgies during the dinner hour.
I am generally against lawsuits but for faulty advertising they should get their money back. If that’s the 2800 pounds they’re suing for it sounds reasonable but a shame the company is allowing this to go to court instead of just giving them a refund. At least they are not suing for 2.8 million pounds for spilling coffee on their lap or finding a chicken head in their bucket of chicken.
Just ask anyone who works during Disney’s ‘gay days”
DO NOT bring your children.
Stuff that is usually left in the romantic seclusion of public toilets is on open display.
So bad it even shocks the parade workers.
I give it two snaps! LOL
The point of going to court is to smear this couple as “homophobics” who don’t want gays to have “rights.” If they happen to be Catholic and/or churchgoers, all the better. It will teach others not to dare complain when queers shove their perverted lifestyle in their faces (figuratively and literally speaking).
Morally sanity includes homophobia. Moral insanity includes actual practicing homosexuality. Homophopia is the loathing and fear of the actual acts of homosexuality. It is a healthy and good thing, in moderation. Just like fear of the dark is healthy, so that one doesn’t go charging into the dark of night in one’s car with the lights off, because no one else is on the road.
I hope they are successful. I would like to know if I am going to a theme park on Gay Days. Like it or not, many gays love to provoke straights with their behavior. I don’t enjoy those with outrageous behavior and would ask for my money back. We once had to move seats at the Hollywood Bowl during a Patti LaBelle concert. I didn’t realize her hugh popularity in the gay community and the gay guys two rows in front of us had their tongues in each others ears. I didn’t want my 11 yr old (at the time) son seeing that. I also wouldn’t have appreciated seeing a straight couple with their tongues in each others ears. But most straights aren’t out to provoke a response and contain themselves until they have privacy.
I would be LIVID if this happened to me.
I’d sue too, not only for a refund, but also for mental anguish due to involuntary exposure to perversion and filth.
maybe their gay friends are hetero-phobic.
I think they should get their money back, absolutely. And they shouldn’t have to sue. The cruise line should be gracious. I was in Provincetown years ago and I didn’t like the blatant in-your-face stuff I saw either. I can’t imagine being trapped on a ship.
Good for them. I would be furious.
For many people, a cruise is a once in a lifetime experience, which they save for over a long time.
For many of us, we will never be able to go on a cruise.
