An Oregon apartment complex reversed its ban prohibiting residents from flying American flags from dwellings and parked vehicles after the property manager decided she didn't have the legal standing to do so, KATU in Portland reported Wednesday.
The American Civil Liberties Union said that Barb Holcomb's ban at Oaks Apartments did not violate any laws, but Holcomb said her legal cousel led her to believe otherwise so she reversed the decision.
"If people want to fly any flag of any nationality, it's their right," she told KATU. "When a tenant rents the unit, the inside of the unit belongs to the tenant. All automobiles and things attached to the automobiles are the personal property of the tenant."

PUSH BACK ON EVERY ASPECT, AMERICA!!!
Even if you weren’t going to before, I would now!
We have to keep shining the light on their phony PC crap. I've never understood why so many people (sheeple?) have gone along with it for so long.
For years now, they have trampled on our rights using the ridiculous mantra: “Someone MAY BE offended.”
My response has always been to continue whatever they wanted me to shut down but saying, “Well, your attitude offends me - and that's not a MAYBE.”
The ACLU would say that... At least she had the sense to get an independent legal opinion.
I am curious as to who actually owns that apartment complex.....
IYKWIM.
You can burn the flag in protest but you can’t fly it in pride. How the heck did this happen?
What?
The original story about the ban implied that people were flying flags of various nationalities, and this was causing some tension or something among the residents. At least that was the story the complex manager seemed to be using to justify the ban.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Florida has a statute protecting a tenant’s right to display Our Flag and I couldn’t find a similar statute for Oregon. That would be worth copying, Oregon people.
“What we were trying to do was to keep the peace,”
Obviously someone doesn’t respect America so maybe they need to leave the country.
Good news. I was hoping the whole apartment complex would rise up against her. She saw the light..or got a fright..

Hoo-Raa!
FR & FNC & El Rushbo & Mark Levin came through bigtime
So Rush and Mark were all talking about it, huh?
She had even told people to remove flags off of their cars and motorcycles!
Interesting question. Did not find that yet, however after looking over their city data, this appears to be a nice little communist town on the northwest.
The City of Albany will receive $1,044,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (federal economic stimulus program) to be used on street improvements.
...using stimulus dollars quickly made Albany eligible for more federal stimulus money through ODOT. Through a competitive statewide application process (330 applications for more than $500 million in projects from only $69 million in federal funds), Albany received an additional $650,000 for the Albany Station train depot...
...Another $201,000 from the stimulus package is directed at energy conservation projects and will be used to improve energy use in several City government buildings...
