Well, then, next they’ll have a ban on owning one. They better not ever have a ban in my state. They’ll have to pry my big screen remote control from my cold, dead fingers.
TV makers, including top-seller Vizio Inc. of Irvine, “”
Vizio needs to seriously consider moving to Reno, Carson City, Gardnerville, or Pahrump NEVADA.
NO corp income taxes.
No personal income taxes.
Lower workmen’s comp insurance.
Lower electricity costs.
Lower crime rates.
Lower costs of land and building.
Lower costs for housing for your employees.
New industrial park just east of Reno, which said park has it’s own power plant.
Tahoe Reno Industrial Park...with it’s own exit/overpass/etc to I-80.
Owner=Lance Gilman.
For any of you who are lurking here on FR, get on the website for this industrial park and review the options.
Single family homes on 1/2 acres or more run about $160,000 and up just east of the park in Fernley. There are other areas north of Reno, and horse properties in Fernley-Silver Springs-Stagecoach-Mound House, etc.
For the record, I have absolytely no connection to this industrial park, Mr Gilman, or anyone else connected to it.
I just want good businesses to leave California to it’s own demise and bring it’s business to Nevada.
BTW- we are working hard to rid the state of Dirty Harry!!!
So it doesn’t extend the bulb life. Doesn’t it consume less energy?
Here's one Democrat who believes that.
It can't be government getting in the way of more electrical power being generated?
They are going to tear down 3 or 4 hydro-power dams on Klamath River... wonderful heh?
So does that mean no more GIANT TV at the football stadium?”
How about all the sports bars?
Bully’s, etc? Lots of tv screens- great food—
Oh, wait- also taxes- beverage taxes- property taxes- employment for lots of people- payroll taxes......
Califronia just keeps working overtime to find ways to kill the golden goose.
I don’t miss living there. I knew California ‘when’.
Speaking of Dirty Harry, if you Nevadans can find any reasonably qualified electable GOP candidate then I think that candidate will be able to raise a huge amount of money from all over the country. I know I would contribute to the campaign of any electable GOP candidate. Maybe Danny Tarkanian can win it. I would love to see us get rid of Dinghy Harry.
It would, however we are talking about something around one kilowatt-hour each hour. Depending on the area, that’s maybe ten cents’ worth of electricity per hour, or under a dollar for an eight hour showing day.
Buying bulbs that are dimmer in the first place saves some money on the bulb price, maybe fifty cents an hour over an average bulb life.
There would be dodges, such as buying used units.’
Maybe whole neighborhoods could play ‘musical chairs’ with their TV’s. Technically all of them would be USED.
They're not worried, they know that laws are for 'little people'.
Yes, that's right. It's all coming back to me now. Do they expect that a court will order NH business owners to positively establish the residency of any buyer for everything that they sell, and then collect the appropriate sales tax based upon that buyer's residency? Are they all on crack cocaine? The cost of doing business for a NH merchant would skyrocket. Of course, when has that stopped a liberal from doing anything?
I have 3 of them in an overhead fan fixture and one is half out. It burns near the base but not at the end. Guess where I'm gonna pitch it.
Hint - I ain't callin' the EPA first.
Does that mean no more tours of the homes of the rich and infamous?
Heh heh heh... yes but he actually is at that level of mentality. We’d just be pretending for political gain.
Can you cite that site? That would be a sight to see.
Yes it will consume less energy ... the bulk of which is in the lack of driving by people who don’t go there any more because the screen is so dim. Seriously: I rarely (as in once/twice a year) go to the cinema any more because the nearest one is so badly under-lit; I’d rather just stay home and watch something from Netflix.
Ah, Minden/Gardnerville! That’s where you could build the TV plant straddling US 395, and give guided tours for the hour or so it would take to drive through the place at the current speed limit!
(no offense intended; just making an obseration...)
Tada...
Yep I can just see O holding a Presser to announce this TV saving move.
