http://www.bobmcdonnell.com/ for Governor

http://www.billbolling.com/ for Lieutenant Governor

http://www.cuccinelli.com/ for Attorney General

Isn’t the WP the paper which endorsed Obama whose popularity is tanking in Virginia? Excellent!

We are shocked. They kept their bas so well hidden that no one had a clue who they would endorse. *snicker*.

I wonder what Deeds wrote about in his college thesis?

Oh my! Had I only known before. I guess I better go right out and do my good civic deed and vote for Deeds indeed! I didn’t realize just how misinformed I had been. My my.. Little had I foreseen just how blind I was.. Thank God we have a force for truth and good government here in the area surrounding our nation’s capital. I stand corrected... mumble.. mumble...My Lands!

Why do they bother wasting so much newsprint?

Here's a Washington Post endorsement:

We endorse [Democrat]. He/she will raise taxes and support abortion. [Republican] will not.

Too bad almost nobody reads the Post anymore. Their circulation has sunk so low that they are giving away subscriptions to fool their advertisers.

Pretty soon they will be bankrupt and up for sale.

political courage to maintain the forward-looking policies of the past while addressing the looming challenge of fixing the state's dangerously inadequate roads

So, our roads are hopelessly lost and need billions of dollars, but Deeds gets credit for "maintaining the forward-looking policies of the past" which lead to our hopeless roads that need billions of dollars.

The Post can't even make a logical argument for Deeds.

But they can contradict themselves. 3 months ago they called McDonnell a moderate who was in no way part of the radical right. Now he's a far-right wingnut. the WP was obviously wrong at some point.

WP: Taxes are good. Deeds will raise taxes. McDonnell opposed the unnecessary tax increases of the past. Vote for Increased Taxes. Vote for Deeds.

C’mon, now. If the compost endorsed McDonnell, THAT would give me pause and worry to think he was really a closeted liberal.

... coupled with the proximity of the federal government, has partially protected Virginia from the harsh retrenchments that the recession has forced on many states.

WOW! Just being physically close to Father Federal Government protects us! Is this what the blame for California's woes? It's too far from DC?

If I recall correctly, the WP also endorsed Pol Pot. How did that turn out?
