You understand that there's a huge difference between an online poll - which is absolutely meaningless - and a poll conducted by professional pollsters using scientifically supported methods, right?

If you mean online polls by "other polls", it's for the above mentioned reason. But, the other scientific polls I've seen the last 4/5 months all complete support and concur with Rasmussen's poll - who, by the way, was one of the most reliably accurate polls throughout the 2008 campaign season.

Maybe, but most everyone says his polling is the most accurate. Still, its awful early to worry about 2012 polls. Remember President Rudy and VP whats his name from Tennessee....they both peaked way too early.

I heard that argument quite a bit during last year's Presidential elections. Many people were saying that the polls had to be mistaken because there was no way the blue collar workers in Ohio and PA were going to vote for a black man. But alas, all the polls got it right, especially Rasmussen, who was closer than anyone else.

While a state senator, he was best known for voting “present". Elected (somehow) to the US Senate, he served a grand total of 140 days before determining he was Presidential timber, and felt the need to let the rest of the world know it, too. I believe he had one legislative initiative to his credit in that time span.

I think a governor would be our strongest candidate, and my favorites are Mitch Daniels, John Hoeven, Bobby Jindal and Haley Barbour. Any of the 4 would be outstanding picks, but when it comes to raising money there is no question which Repub could match Bambi dollar for dollar (maybe even surpass him), that’s Haley Barbour. I’m not endorsing Barbour, I’m just saying he has a very powerful rolodex. Let the games begin.

whatever the polls say i feel very strongly that any pubbie candidate must be supported by Palin or they have no chance.. She may not be the one at this time but many will be looking to see if she can back the candidate.
It would do the party and the current crop of pretenders to remember this for she will be the king maker.
