NY 23rd 2009: Vote for Conservative in N.Y. is a vote for Dems, says Rep. King [vote GOP or else!]
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2009-10-19 | Aaron Blake

Posted on 10/19/2009 2:39:24 PM PDT by rabscuttle385

Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.) endorsed GOP special-election candidate Dede Scozzafava on Monday, saying a vote for her Conservative Party opponent is tantamount to a vote for the Democrats in the close 23rd Congressional District race in New York.

. . . . .

In a statement, King made the case that voting for Hoffman will only help Democrat Bill Owens win.

"Dede is the only Republican candidate in this race, and the only candidate with a proven record that Republicans can trust in Washington," King said. "A vote for either of her opponents is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and her far-left, radical agenda."

Amen to your argument. I only give to the Republican Trust, an organization that only supports conservative candidates. I stopped giving to the GOP in 2004.

Peter King is a RINO, so quite naturally he backs a fellow RINO. The odd thing is a number of freepers think Peter King is a great conservative and post that they’re “shocked” whenever he does something liberal (even though this occurs on a monthly basis)

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

•Pro choice
•In favor of gay marriage
•In favor of Cap and Trade (I need to check my sources on this. Newt said she opposed this)
•In favor of Employee Free Choice Act (Card Check)
•In favor of the Stimulus
•In favor of Bank Bailouts

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat.

The representatives (anomaly) in Washington just won’t accept it. We’ve had it and they all need to go. My awol rep, Kathy Castor lied to me through her telephone representative. It’s time for real wedge politics with enough people in the middle (left and right) who will listen to us and drown out those who are bringing our Nation periously close to the edge.

Up is down, left is right, Oceana has always been at war with Eastasia.

Hoffman is the only candidate in the race who disagrees with Obama and Pelosi on most/all issues. But according to GOP Rep. King, a vote for conservative Hoffman is somehow a vote for Obama and Pelosi.

To oppose Obama and Pelosi, we must vote for a Scozzafava, a GOP candidate who agrees with Obama and Pelosi about nearly everything, and who is more leftist even than the donk candidate she’s running against.

King expects us to believe that only by voting for Scozzafava, the candidate endorsed by the leftist Daily Kos, can we fight leftism.

Below is more about this abominable leftist GOP candidate that King expects us to support.

Scozzafava is an abortion rights advocate who favors gay marriage. It would be one thing if Scozzafava balanced that social liberalism with fiscal conservatism. But as a state assemblywoman, she voted for massive tax increases, Democratic budgets and a $180 million state bank bailout. She also supported the trillion-dollar federal stimulus package—which every House Republican voted against.

More troubling, Scozzafava in past elections has embraced the ballot line of the Working Families Party—a socialist outfit whose political DNA is intertwined with scandal-ridden ACORN. ACORN and the WFP have shared office space in New York City, Arkansas and Illinois. ACORN head Bertha Lewis, a close Scozzafava friend and political supporter, wears a second hat as vice chairman of the WFP. The WFP has been listed in ACORN documents dating back to 2000 as an “affiliate.”

King and Gingrich have become part of the problem. I donated once to Hoffman and will donate again tonight.

Why the GOP does not want conservatives to win:

"Socialism needs two legs on which to stand; a right and a left. While appearing to be in complete opposition to one another, they both march in the same direction."

In a span of 10 minutes I received a call each from a guy and a gal supporting Scozzafava. Told them both I’m voting for Hoffman and backed it up with a campaign donation to Hoffman. We can’t let these RINOs continue. We as a country are at a precipice. A cliche, to be sure, but none the less true. We need to reclaim our country before we are past the point of reclaiming what we once had. sd

This is insanity. A vote for a conservative is a vote for a conservative. No one is going to convince me otherwise.

I was not aware that voting for a candidate of my choice is really a vote for the candidate not of my choice. But then, this is Obama’s America, so I suppose anything is possible.

Bush campaigning for Specter over Toomey comes to mind... and besides, representatives don't represent their constituents anymore anyway.

THEY know what's best for the We the Sheeple...

“Just curious: Do you people ever put up any candidates that actually win contested elections or is it your exclusive province to sit on your fat asses until just before election day, then petulantly profane the nominally Republican candidate?”

Just curious, is THIS the kind of party you want;

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

•Pro choice

•In favor of Cap and Trade (I need to check my sources on this. Newt said she opposed this)
•In favor of Employee Free Choice Act (Card Check)
•In favor of the Stimulus
•In favor of Bank Bailouts

Because if THAT is representative of the politicians that YOU support, I suggest that you might be more comfortable elsewhere.

With all due respect!

Rep Peter King, just one question, what is the difference between voting Republican or Democrat in the NY-23 election? Now, it might matter to elected Republicans, but it doesn't matter to voters, if you have two politicians, who are going to vote the same way.

It here's the lesson you need to learn. The freedom-loving GOP voting base has had it. No more. You see, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU OR YOUR INSIDE POLITICAL GAMES. We see our country being destroyed in front of our eyes. Voting for someone, who's going to contribute to that destruction is NO LONGER AN OPTION.

Get freedom-loving candidates on the "R" line and you won't have this problem Mr Professional Politician Rep King.

Clear enough for you?
