Pete King is ProLife, isn't he.

Congressman Chris Smith is opposed to gay marriage, is he not?

Isn’t Gingrich against cap & trade?

George W Bush is not for Card Check, is he?

Yet, all have been called RINOs.

I even watched as FReepers demanded that Connie Mack be thrown out of the GOP, based upon who he is married to!

Just a FReply all to those who have posted on this thread. More specific replies and responses to follow soon.

Please, send Hoffman a donation. I wish we would get behind him as strongly as we got behind Joe Wilson last month.

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat.

There are also 17 RINOs in the house who have donated funds to this LibeRal democRat's campaign. They include Boehner and Cantor. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These RINOs should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.

More threads ...

Have I been misspelling her name? It’s not ‘Scuzzobama’? How embarrassing. ;p

Just curious: Do you people ever put up any candidates that actually win contested elections or is it your exclusive province to sit on your fat asses until just before election day, then petulantly profane the nominally Republican candidate?
I am also supporting Marco Rubio in the 2010 Florida Senate race.

As for this race, the district went to a conservative last year. John McHugh had a 71.55% lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union. John McHugh's positions are closer to Doug Hoffman than anyone else in the race. And John McHugh got 65% of the vote last year. McCain, a RINO, couldn’t even win in this district.

If there had been a primary, Scozzafava (some here have called her Scuzzobama) would not have been the Republican candidate in the general. She has zero chance of winning this district on her own, without massive cash from the party. She was chosen because the locals thought she could finance her own campaign. Now she is getting six figure support from the RNC and RCCC. Funding that comes from people who thought they were donating to support the Republican platform, not oppose it.

Sorry “GOP”. You’re losing Conservatives like you’re losing elections.

Unfortunately, he’s right.

The good news is that in this particular race, the Democrat is better than Scozzabarfa, so voting for the Conservative Party candidate will result in a better option either way.

I’m done giving to the RNC as well. I’ll choose the Republican candidates I will support. No more McCains, Snowe, Collins and Graham.

yep. read the report. Primaries have their place. Dede hit her high water mark in July and she is now irrelevant and will never be the congresswoman.

What a bunch of naive nonsense.

Both you and Obama think Owens is better than Scozzafava.

Sorry, but no. Normally I advocate voting for the conservative (not Conservative) in the primary and the Republican in the general, but Scozzabarfa is further to the left than the Democrat in this race. Therefore, a vote for Hoffman will, one way or another, ensure that the most leftist candidate in the race (Scozzabarfa, for those of you keeping track at home) doesn't win. Hopefully Hoffman pulls it out, especially considering how the NY GOP treated him. But if not, NY-23 should at least be spared the most liberal of the three candidates.

I am sorry that Rep King has harmed his own credibility by endorsing this RINO.

This kind of behavior is nothing new, and the mistake is rooted in whoever the stupid RINOs who pushed Dede are. I recall 1996, when a Dem turned Republican in Texas 14th was challenged by an upstart who was previously a 3rd party candidate. The upstart was actually a previous Republican Congressman as well.... Newt Gingrich endorsed the Dem-turned-Republican, Rep Laughlin.

The challenger won. His name? Ron Paul.

Sometimes the voters are smarter than the leaders. We can hope they are here as well.

“Just about what I told the GOP caller today who asked for financial help for “the party”. I will never again allow any party to use my contributions to support someone who doesn’t reflect my conservative views. I told the caller that we are/have/and will continue to support individuals who are conservative and who work FOR America’s interests and will do so privately.”

‘I gave to a conservative candidate directly’ is a good answer.

I agree with the first part of what you say. I usually don't support third party candidates, but in this case for several reasons that I previously covered, I am.

... but Scozzabarfa is further to the left than the Democrat in this race. Therefore, a vote for Hoffman will, one way or another, ensure that the most leftist candidate in the race (Scozzabarfa, for those of you keeping track at home) doesn't win.

Sorry the second part of what you say is naive nonsense.

Obama is fund raising for Owens. Peter King and Newt are campaigning for Scozzafava.

SEIU has endorsed Owens.

Owens is for forcing private insurance companies to cover patients which would eventually lead to the down fall of the insurance companies and the onset of government Run Health care.

Scozzafava has a pro 2A voting record and is endorsed by the NRA while they are critical of Owens.

Scozzafava is against Cap and Trade.

Scozzafava is against the Baucus Bill saying, "At a time when Americans need serious solutions from Washington to repair our broken health care system, I was extremely disappointed to see that the Baucus bill fails to address the primary causes of rising health care costs, while simultaneously slashing $400 billion from Medicare. Any meaningful health care reform must reduce costs by expanding competition across state lines and by implementing much needed tort reform to curb the frivolous law suits that have been driving up costs on the entire system."

Scozzafava signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, Owens refuses to.

Perhaps you need to rationalize your support for Hoffman with this Scozzafa-is-worse-than-Ownens nonsense, but I don't.

Just curious, is THIS the kind of party you want;

•Pro choice
•In favor of gay marriage
•In favor of Cap and Trade
•In favor of Employee Free Choice Act (Card Check)
•In favor of the Stimulus
•In favor of Bank Bailouts

My candidate in this race is Hoffman. By definition how on earth could I be rationalizing for candidate Scozzafava?

It's called looking at reality

Anyway, you ignore reality and my list that demonstrates that Owens would not be a more conservative Rep. than Scozzafava.
