The potential of the threat from the new strain of the antibiotic-resistant bacterium, which is becoming more widespread, is outlined in a study in the journal Lancet Infectious Diseases.

Known as community acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA), it poses a significant risk outside hospitals.

Many of the children and teens who supposedly died from H1N1 had non-flu related infections that likely killed them.

This MRSA stuff was a big problem the last couple of years and now is attacking people whose immune systems are weakened by the flu.

My Sister died a few years back after getting the flu and aquiring the pneumonia version of MRSA.

Part of the problem with MRSA cases ( community acquired or otherwise) is that people DO NOT follow directions on medications. Also docs have been over prescribing antibiotics now for some time.

Interestingly the UK has found a way to knock down most of the MRSA germs ——IPA. Yup nothing fancier than wipes with isopropyl alcohol. More effective than any of the other magic cleaners that are out there. Keep it in mind

I seriously expect either the wahhabi's, or the radical socialists to try and kill Americans with a virus or superbug. It would pay for all Americans to be vigilant with regard to public health and make prudent preparations...imho.

What would happen in the time leading up to the release? Peoplewho knew what was to happen would do anything to get and remain in power, so they would be spared...they might lie about their candidate and hide his origins, hide stories from the public, and then put draconian policies in place once elected. Sound like anyone we know?

It got in her blood stream after a fall in a boat. It first destroyed her liver. Her kidneys and lungs were next. It took 20 days from onset to the end.

My condolences on such a sad loss. It was reported recently that MRSA is in the sand at some beach resorts on the US Pacific, and a susceptible person could acquire it from playing in the sand, especially being buried in sand for instance. We’re about to reap the harvest of overprescribed antibiotics by docs and farm vets for decades.

I got MRSA in 2001 due to knee surgery. But it went misdiagnosed for 7 years by a doctor who treated me for shingles. I kept having sessions of this stuff, each getting worse than the last until I ended up in the hospital twice in 2008. I changed physicians. They finally did the right testing on me and found that now I am also a carrier. Beck-trim, a very old antibiotic, keeps it at bay when I am threatened with it. I know this treatment will not be effective forever, but hope something else will be made for it. I know I will never be free of it.

Had she been sick before she went to the hospital?

Thanks for this info: “Interestingly the UK has found a way to knock down most of the MRSA germs ——IPA. Yup nothing fancier than wipes with isopropyl alcohol. More effective than any of the other magic cleaners that are out there. Keep it in mind.”

When I first read “IPA and UK, I thought of India Pale Ale, which might work because of its high alcohol contents.

That is Bactrim an incredible combo drug. It is available in an IV form, syrup/suspension and tablet form.
