Virginia Democrats are highlighting this video of GOP gubernatorial nominee Bob McDonnell from a rally-the-base speech earlier today at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University in Lynchburg.
McDonnell's promise to be a champion for traditional marriage and anti-abortion stalwart comes on the morning following the final debate of the governor's race Tuesday night -- a debate where the Republican said that, if elected, his focus would be on issues such as jobs, transportation and energy.
Pressed about his opposition to abortion at the debate, McDonnell was far less expansive than in front of the evangelical students at Liberty.
And, it should be noted, the Republican's cultural message today has been notably absent from his just-a-suburban-dad TV ads in the Washington, D.C. market.
I think Mr. Smith just cannot accept that it is a reasonable position to be pro-Life, and pro-traditional marriage, or anti-”gay special rights” (that’s not say against gays, just no special favors/rights for them)!
You mean conservatives. Republicans run from them all the time.
You got it. The MSM would be "celebrating" that fact. In fact, they already have done just that thing with Keith "Hussein" Ellison (D-MN).
The problem of liberalism, immorality, homosexuality, abortion, and the collapse of the United States voter isn't about "message" or "politics."
It is a problem of the heart. Only God (the real one) can change hearts.
Liberals (and I put 99.99999999999% of all Democrats in this category) have rejected God, and they hate Him.
They hate Yeshua the Messiah - who died for all of mankind, and spoke of the dangers of Hell more than He spoke about Heaven.
These people are but the face and mouthpiece of a vast and lost group of human beings who are on the wide path to destruction. Their savior is only a knock away, but they hate Him, His message, and anyone who loves Him.
When you boil it all down, that is the heart of every conflict and issue we see today.
How do you know there is a God?
Well put...
