It’s important to remember that this election isn’t just about the glitz and the glamour of the conventions and the debates, or the self-indulgent speculations of the punditocracy: it’s about real people — real people who are suffering. And few can be suffering more acutely than award-winning CBS Evening News correspondent Dean Reynolds, who’s been putting a brave face on things for months, but who now finally lets his anger and frustration erupt all over the CBS From The Road blog:
The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about.
Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it’s all for security reasons.
If so, I would love to have someone from Obama’s campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go.
It was not an isolated case.
If you’ve recently received a home foreclosure notice, or you can’t afford to fill your car with gas, you’ll certainly sympathise with the appalling experiences Reynolds has been enduring as one of the downtrodden reporters forced to occupy a seat on Obama’s press plane:
Nor is there much sympathy for those of us who report for a newscast that airs in the early evening hours. Our shows place a premium on live reporting from the scene of campaign events. But this campaign can often be found in the air and flying around at the time the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” is broadcast.
Hard to believe, I know, but it gets worse. Reynolds recently spent a few days on the McCain plane, and the contrast was so stark that it made him feel even more upset, frustrated and depressed:
The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama’s, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.
For a moment towards the end of his tale of woe, Reynolds seems to waver, as if wondering whether, in this harsh world, anyone will take any notice of his cry for help:
Maybe none of this means much.
But it lasts only a moment. Then he picks himself up, takes a deep breath, rediscovers his courage, and reminds himself that one day — maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday — the law of Karma will catch up with Barack Obama, and the horrors he has inflicted will be met with an equal and opposite retaliation:
...in politics, everything that goes around comes around.
This is undeniably true:
justice will triumph in the end. And this is what allows us, even in our darkest hours, to stay hopeful and strong.
Because no matter how much pain and misery may be inflicted by those in power upon those they oppress, the indomitable human spirit will always win out eventually, especially when it is the indomitable human spirit of the award-winning CBS news reporter Dean Reynolds.
If he’s the most brilliant President ever he should be proud to release his transcripts like GW did.

Bad turn of word. I have lots of opinions. I was only addressing his attendance at Columbia. As far as the One goes, I think he’s as close to the anti-Christ as you get in this world. But there is absolutely no question he went to Columbia. According to my friend, he was completely a-religious, never went anywhere on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Root hosts a nationally syndicated radio show out of Las Vegas now. Heard him for the first time the other day. In introducing himself and giving his credentials, he said he was a Columbia classmate of Obama, but didn't say or imply anything about O being a phantom there. Wonder why he didn't mention that in the same breath, since merely stating O was a classmate seems to indicate that O was actually on campus. Or was not mentioning O's phantom status merely an oversight on Root's part?

Leo Donofrio has been attempting to verify that Obama was born in Hawaii. He submitted a request to Hawaii’s Department of Health (DoH) for an Index Data Reference to one of the entries on Obama’s Certification of Live Birth depicted on one of the online COLBs. He did this in early October 2008.
The line he wanted to know about said, “Filed with Registrar Aug. 8, 1961”, and is located in the lower right hand corner of the COLBs. According to Hawaii’s own legal statutes, the DoH must provide Index Data Reference information (much like the index cards or index databases used in Libraries; it is used to track documents) consisting of ‘name, sex, date of document’ - definitely NOT an invasion of privacy. This index data is public information and DoH shall not withhold it. The DoH response, per law, must be either “no document exists” or the name, sex, date pertaining to said document.
Leo Donofrio received a response he described as “vague”. This means that DoH either doesn’t have a long-form birth certificate for Obama, or that the COLBs are all fraudulent, OR the State of Hawaii is violating its own laws!
He is now negotiating with possible litigants seeking to sue the State of Hawaii.
Many people have attempted to get the Index Reference Data for the COLB certificate number on one of the online documents. The State of Hawaii will not respond to the request with anything other than a question - DoH wants to know what name the requestor associates with that certificate’s number. People are getting the run around, obviously.
It appears Hawaii is violating its own laws to protect a usurper President.
There will be Hell to pay when Obama is no longer in office. That is, unless he sets himself up as dictator for life.

The name on the fightthesmears website is shown as Barack Hussein Obama - on a document supposedly date-stamped by the Hawaiin DOH on 6 June, 2007, without any amendments shown.
The DOH either has that information on file, or it hasn't. It's beginning to look as if a FILED Certification if Live Birth CANNOT BE AMENDED until the Certification is ACCEPTED...and that's why the document on fightthesmears showed no Seal or Signature...(until factcheck got hold of it.)
