He could start by checking to see if his wife ever played football.

He should just ask Ozero to appoint a high school football czar.

Conyers is an idiot! ...The Congress and Senate have no business in delving into such topics.
It’s no wonder that those idiots can seldom pass any meaningful legislation, when they spend time on stupid things like this, or naming post offices, or creating holidays for unworthy people, etc., etc., .....

You're right. Is he really saying that the Congress of the United States has nothing better to do than look into injuries in one professional sports realm?
Hey, Congress, you bunch of out-of-touch {expletives}, how about looking into ... oh, I don't know ... the economy, the wars, healthcare, the (apparently) ever-expanding role of government... Maybe even READ THE {EXPLETIVE} BILLS AND CONSIDER THEM BEFORE YOU PASS THEM!
Congressmen, and women, of any party; if you're wondering why you're out of a job after the next election, it is because of stupid stuff like this that shows you are not fit to lead nor represent others.

I suppose maybe even Nancy had something once, but all the botox must have permanently paralyzed her brain cells.

So much for health care, cap and trade, congressional corruption, the war(s), the deficit, the economy...etc., etc.

This is a waste of our tax dollars. Brain injuries, regardless of their source, is NOT an area that Congress should be dabbling in. With everything going on in the world to day, if this is the most important thing that Congress has to do, ADJOURN!!!! Go home and stay there until you can find a federal government issue to focus on!!!!
Corrupt, power-grabbing jerks!!!

Brain injuries? How about investigating the brain dead legislators inside the beltway?
More extra-Constitutional claptrap from the regal elites in Washington. The Federal government has NO CONSTITUTIONAL authority to do this.
Want to cut the cost of government? Push them back within the bounds of the Constitution. That would cut about half the federal budget PDQ.
It’s time to take back the country.

That is a gross underestimate.

I agree this is no place for government. However, on the general subject of concussions etc...My father recently died of alzheimers-specifically Lewy-Body Dementia. He was a star football player in high school back in the mid 1940's and incurred several major concussions. One of them knocked him out cold for hours. Another one left him feeling "out of it" for days. He was wearing a leather helmet with webbing inside, but the webbing was broken. I've often wondered if this contributed to his condition.
Years of watching television and movies where a gun butt or a punch to the head is simply a harmless form of temporary sleep has given people an unrealistic view of head trauma.
