RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE: "I support the Republican nominee as the Republican Party chairman, and thats the way it should go, right?"
(Excerpt) Read more at realclearpolitics.com ...
If he would of said Hoffman, could you imagine. He had to say that. Too bad they just made the wrong decision upfront and now they look like asses.
Like so many things these days, the answer is, "WRONG."
No more contribution to the RNC. I only give directly to selected candidates.
It’s always better to admit your mistake, change, and move on than it is to throw good money after bad.
The Vichy republicans are turning the party into TOAST.They continue to collaborate with the enemies of this Republic
And Steele wonders why we aren’t sending any loot?
“I support the Republican nominee as the Republican Party chairman, and thats the way it should go, right?”

Looks like he picked the wrong time to go on the wrong (MSNBC) network. At least he could pronounce her name even if he hasn’t the slightest idea what the issues are in that campaign.
I can’t fault Steele here. It is his job to support the (R). Hopefully It won’t make a difference.
Setele is in a box. At this point the GOP has to accept their poor decision and support the candidate they picked.
How could they ever recruit another candidate if that person thinks the Republican party might ditch them one week before the election?
I am willing to give Newt and Steele a chance to redeem themselves after the election.
We will see what happens.
He’s the chairman of the RNC, he has to stand by the Republican candidate, regardless of her status as a RINO.
Yeah, the problem is that the RNC is STUCK with Scozzafava now. It was a stupid choice, and if she gets PWND by Doug Hoffman, maybe they’ll think twice before making that kind of mistake again. Of course they have to support her, but their ad money should be spent attacking the Democrat in the race, not the Conservative.
No, but it's the way the Republican Party works. This is why the Republican Party must change or die.
We can thank the RINO's and all their minions for it.
Maybe she's finally realized it is time to quit.
I think he and Newt are stuck with “party loyalty”, and don’t feel free to speak their mind.
(Which, in Newt’s case is a strong indicator that he’s planning on seeking party support in the near future.)
What a maroon!
You can bet that quote won’t be prominent in Michael Steele’s next fundraising mailer.
Hey dummy! The first, repeat first, rule is “when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”
Newt should stay out of a campaign like this and stick to writing fiction?
<p.
Keep him off of FOX News. He is stinking up the joint!
I wonder if he will support Rep. Ron Paul’s re-election next year should he run again if the wins the GOP Primary again....or probably just keep his mouth shut?
Probably the latter: the GOP Establishment would rather support a semi-socialist over a Constitutionist.
