In a crime that has shocked America up to two dozen passers-by were said to have seen the crime happening and failed to report it as the girl was subjected to an ordeal lasting two-and-a-half hours.
Police Lieutenant Mark Gagan said a "mob mentality" had taken over. He said: "This was a barbaric act. I still cannot get my head around the fact that numerous people either watched, walked away or participated in her assault.
"These suspects are monsters. I don't understand how this many people capable of such atrocious behaviour could be in one place at one time.
Many of the students feel like the people who committed such an awful crime are still among them in class." Five suspects, aged from 16 to 21, have been arrested over the attack at Richmond High School, near San Francisco, over the weekend.
The crime was only discovered when a woman at a nearby party telephoned police to say that two of the suspects were bragging about their role in the attack, which was still going on.

Just look at television, objectively. Look at the movies, objectively. Listen to song lyrics, objectively. There are no moral absolutes anymore, just moral relativity. There isn’t a sense of ‘doing right’ because it is the right thing to do. Now it’s just ‘doing right’ to avoid prosecution.
I just realize this for the first time, but Richmond, CA is the H.S. where Samuel L. Jackson’s “Coach Carter” was based out of.
Richmond is probably the roughest or in the top 5 roughest towns in CA. It’s s like a mini-Detroit. It’s an urban wasteland toilet.
They should level that town and move all the residents across the bridge to Marin County. Let the limousine liberal lefties that overran Marin County decades ago find out what it’s like to live among these people.

Kids are being taught “do not judge” as THE prime moral objective.
There are kids who will not judge Hitler or Stalin’s actions as “bad”, because we can’t know what their situation was.

It’s very hard to find an atheist who believes in objective right and wrong. They do exist but you have to scour the Earth to find them.
If there was an “objective” morality,
it would have to be from a source external
to the material.
And they can’t allow for a standard of eternal
judgement that is impossible to achieve -
if that were true, we’d need some sort of
divine Savior or something.
Instead we get news of unsubstantiated accusations of racist comments in public places.
The Richmond City Council has been taken over by hippies. They have hampered the police chief’s efforts to wage an effective campaign against illegals and known criminals. License checks on 23rd.St., the street in front of Richmond High, were stopped because they were deemed not politically correct. That being a Latino neighborhood and all.
