Who Lied to (RINO) Newt Gingrich?
TCOTR Report.com ^ | Oct 29, 2009 | Michael Patrick Leahy

"Perhaps more ominously for his ( Newt's )rapidly fading hopes for a 2012 Presidential bid, conservatives are beginning to question his integrity. His constant repetition of the false "she's locally selected" mantra seems as off message as Scozzafava's numerous well documented campaign missteps."

"Either Newt Gingrich is lying, or someone misled him."

But how can "the smartest guy in the room", with a reputation as a scholar and seeker of truth have been so easily misled about a set of facts that could be discerned with half an hour's worth of phone calls?"

“Washington is Hollywood for ugly actors”

That’s a damn fine quote there! Could even wind up as a tagline someday.

“..How could he misread the mood of the people ...”

Because he’s spent so much time in the Bizzaroland of DC that he forgot about the folks on Main Street.

They isolate themselves, party with the enemy, compromise with the enemy, and try to believe that the other side of the aisle is still American and doesn’t want to turn them into political eunuchs.

Then, when election time rolls around, they come out of hiding with an appearance or two on Hannity and we’re supposed to flock to them - no matter WHO they puke up as a candidate - because hey, you know, we HAVE to beat the Democrats.

Well, you don’t beat the Dems by becoming Dems. You beat them by showing folks what the Dems and their liberal RINO allies really are, and by embracing the road that Reagan laid out.

It’s not like we’re NOT vocal, it’s not like we CAN’T be heard. They have only to browse THIS website to see the “mood of the people”. They just think they know better than us dumbasses.

If Newt can’t figure it out, he needs to step aside. Same with Steele. Either lead, follow, or get the hell out of our way.

No RINOs. Not now, not ever.

It’s not an error. It is not ‘some’. This has been the drill since Reagan. HW Bush’s ‘Can’t We All Get Along’, GW’s Compassionate Conservatives. Newt, and others, are Washington GOP/RNC ‘leadership’ mainstream.

We’re the ones that in their eyes are messed up. All those stupid values, principals things. Why if only we would ‘put aside’ our differences, we could ‘win back Washington’ and have big spending, big tax, Big Brother Nanny State with an occasional meaningless bone for us once in a while. We are JUST SO INGREATFUL to our party superiors.

They know. They just work with us like the Democrat plantation masters do blacks. Newt is our Jessy Jackson/Al Sharpton. ( Ever notice how comfortable he is with them? One professional to another )

“..Can’t We All Get Along...”

I don’t want to “get along”. I want them defeated, utterly.

You don’t shake hands with a demon to catch the Devil. Most of the time, the demon decides NOT to let go.

I want my country back.

She was chosen in a backroom deal by 11 Republican commitee members, four of whom are RINOs who were able to ram Scuzzy’s nomination through.

His constant repetition of the false "she's locally selected" mantra seems as off message as Scozzafava's numerous well documented campaign missteps." The writer nailed it. I watched and listened to Newt repeat this to laura Ingraham and Fox morning shows. I scratched my head wondering wahy Newt wouldn't have checked his facts and why wouldn't be so stubborn not to correct his error and poor choice. I'm left believing that he knew he was selling out thousands of conservative grassroots activists and normal everyday folks and instead siding witt 7 old white GOP chairmen who unilaterally selected Dede. Why? Does Newt think that's how he gets their endorsement for President in 2012? Even so, he'll fail like Rudy did. Conclusion: Newt has lost the ability to make good decisions and display good judgement.

According to Hoffman, there were 11 people, county GOPers, who had some kind of weighted votes. 3 of her buddies accounted for 43% of the voted, and 1 other vote put her over him. So even though she only got 4 votes, the way they were weighted, she won.

I believe this. In the 20th CD the county Chairman with the largest vote - 80 year old Jasper Nolan "selected" his longtime friend Sandy Treadwell in the race 2 years ago. Sandy was a liberal RINO just like Dede. They both had a friend with a large weighted vote and they both will never be in Congress. Who to blame? First - the OLD County chairmen who are so out of touch with reality. 2nd, anyone who goes along with these poor endorsements.

Newt...what a boor... I sent him a "Go To Hell RINO!" letter some time back after I got a request for donations to the RNC and his standard nonsense as to why I should donate and the bad stuff that would happen if I didn't.

Neither him, nor any RINO will get my support...not financially, or at the voting booth.

When he decided to screw two wives did it for me.

Since YOU brought it up...

People should look into the details behind what you've written. The man has no integrity. Being a man, I can at least empathize (albeit weakly) on why he might want to consider another woman. But he treated his first wife (who had cancer) terribly. I'll never believe he's fighting for my interests. He vowed to God that he would fight for her interests and he broke that promise. Why should I believe he can keep another promise after breaking that one?

Newt is a lot like McCain. Both claim greatness based on former accomplishments even though more recent things they've done identify them as liberals and socialists (RINOs). We can't take their former accomplishments from them. But it's difficult and embarrassing watching them apparently unaware that we hold them in contempt and give then little to no credit for their former accomplishments.

Honor and integrity MUST BE MAINTAINED. Men like Gingrich and McCain don't understand this. They think that former greatness lingers forever. I beg to differ.

There are documented cases where medical professionals start out quite focused and in the due course of their careers, they assist and save countless lives. But somewhere along the line, some of them go bad. They sicken their patients in order to save the patient so that they appear to be the hero. Some of these get caught. I'm sure everybody has heard over the past several years of instances such as these.

This is what people like Gingrich and McCain are like. They might have started out well enough, and accomplished many good and honorable things in the past, but currently, down under it all, they're out to do us harm.

2010 is going to be interesting.

“..Honor and integrity MUST BE MAINTAINED. ...”

Amen, brother. Spot on.

Too many people have no clue what “Honor” and “Integrity” mean anymore. They get good at bullsh*tting people, and think that’s the way to get by.

It’s those “sophiticated” folks...who don’t know that the root of the word “sophisticated” is “sophist” - a Liar.

We’ve too many of those in public office. Hence, here we are.
