Aww, sorry about your “Nutty Buddy.” We had a cat like that once...people would drop off cats near my parents’ farm. Momma kitty was probably taken by predators or hit and we found three very young kittens in the field. Two were already dead, one was in bad shape...dehydrated and starving, but we (and our dog who did the elimination stimulating) nursed the kitty back. She was always a little ‘off,’ though.
Bless you for taking Buddy in and providing such good care in spite of his less-than-good start in life.

I've raised plenty of kids...some not even my own...and grandkids, aka "critters" in my house. If she can't keep track of them, then she apparently needs to put up a fence for her "critters". What if they had run out in the street and got hit? Would you also blame the driver that hit them? Same difference. If she doesn't take responsibility for her children, then she is stupid one.
As for the dog, I blame the owner as well, not the dog.

Nope.
Didn’t miss a thing.
Your reaction is exactly what I thought it would be.

I had 5 children in 6 1/2 years and Yes, once in a while one would go out without me knowing it...I lived on a court and at one time or another, some neighbor would be out looking for the 4 year old....
I commend you on your great parenting....../s
I just love the blame the victim people and not the killer or attacker.

Leashes are fine. In fact, that’s the law in most places. Tethered means tied to a spot in the yard unattended.

Phew!
We have the pup on one of those carriage stringers. When we go out, she is put on the front one if we are hanging by the house and the back one if we are hanging by the swingset.
I wish we had a fenced yard so she could run. Mostly she is a house dog anyway.

I commend you on your great parenting....../sThat's quite a leap you are taking there, from disagreeing with an opinion to an outright personal attack, don't you think? You don't know a danged thing about me or my parenting skills, so I would suggest you refrain from your snide comments on the matter, especially since you so clearly admit you can't control your own children.

Why does this impeccable logic seem to escape some...
Why? Because it's Goat Granny...She goes from sweet to completely bat-shit crazy in 2.3 seconds.

Give it a few minutes...
I would be pinging her to these out of courtesy, but awhile ago she threw a virtual hissy fit that ended with the equivelant of “DON’T EVER POST TO ME AGAIN, YOU BIG POOPY HEAD”.

Its kinda hard to control them since they are all in their 40’s and 50’s and half of the grandchildren are college grad's. A couple in High School and a couple in junior high.. I have a granddaughter that graduated from U of M with a Fine Arts degree, one graduated from chef school, one lives in California and won an emmy at the age of 20..One waiting to go into vet. tech school, one in the Air force in Texas another going to college in N.Y. etc etc etc. So my parenting skills are well know, and there is not a liberal in the bunch..my kids are raising their kids the right way...
In response to the rest of your answer you have quite a thin skin there since several of the replies on this thread were ready, willing and would....condemn the parent they know nothing about.....have a great evening.
To: shibumi
I read your home page, your dog is cute too...
To: shibumi

Have a great evening,

Gee, thats a real intelligent comment.../s How many times have non-murder make the news How many hit and runs not made the news.... How many SUV's didn't hit anyone..
Always nice to receive comments on my intelligence from people who either didn't or shouldn't have passed middle school English.
Should we exterminate humans because, by your logic, all the crime in the news means violence must be the norm for our species? Should we destroy all SUVs, too, because of all the fatal accidents you hear about?

Of course. I see absolutely no negligence in a mother who lets her toddlers roam around the neighborhood unattended while she stays in bed until 9:00.

That’s a nice post except for two things.
1) The pic is so small that an old fart like me can’t really make out just how unfit you are.
- And -
2) Everybody else forgot about this thread 90 days ago.
