Putting aside the whole right vs. wrong thing...

I think if we’re going to do this, let’s recreate a lot of pretty girls with blond hair and blue eyes.

American society, as a whole, has more than enough orcs to commit murders and rapes and general thievery.

Let’s hope these scientists help populate the U.S. with beautiful Maria Sharapova looking girls. Other pretty girls too! Lots and lots of them.

This has been coming for a long time. Ten years ago scientists in Britain were working on (and have nearly perfected) a technique known as somatic cell nuclear transfer that would allow two lesbians to have a full, biological child of their own. Within 20 years, the world will be full of children that have two biological moms, two biological dads, or even perhaps the combination of several parents to create what scientists have called "super" babies with better immune systems, higher intelligence, and more attractive features.

The greatest questions of our age will come down to scientific ethics. Our technology is beginning to outpace, at a drastic rate, the discussion about whether or not something is wise. With much of these advances coming from beyond America's borders, our own laws are going to have a limited influence on whether or not something is permitted.

Take stem cells. Here, many treatments are prohibited due to the use of fetal stem cell cultures. Yet, my eye doctor has sent 3 or 4 patients to Spain to get an injection in the eye for a rare degeneration disease that causes total blindness. She said the treatment was $35,000 but you had the leave the country and she'd arrange the referral. A lot of her patients are Catholic and she said the moment they find out their 9 year old son or daughter won't be able to see, they lose all inhibitions or religious convictions because their one objective is to do whatever it takes to protect their child.

Ethical? Moral? I'm 100% Pro-Life but I'd do everything in my power to protect my kids; there's no way I'd let them go blind if I could do something about it, regardless of the cost. The new frontiers are causing things to get messy.

Do the stem cells come from a tablespoon of dust?

Maybe some day making babies the old-fashioned way will become retro-cool.

Get yourself prepared. Be prepared for God to provide us with His opinion of mankind trying to step into His shoes. Personally, nothing our imaginations can conjur up can prepare you for how God will chastise the world for this “science.”

There is a difference between “can” and “should”. Because you can do something, does not mean that you should do it. It reminds me of the movie, “Matrix,” when people are not born but grown. I suspect that in the future sexual intercourse will be strictly for recreation and entertainment, and that the state will become our parent and our god. In many ways, we have already reached that prediction with abortion and “entitlements.”
