Why NJ voters are so disgusted
NY Post ^ | October 30, 2009 | Editorial

A new Quinnipiac University poll this week drives home a key point about the race for governor in New Jersey: Voters there are clearly unhappy with life under Democratic incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine.

At the same time, a Tax Foundation report offers clues as to why: Of the 10 US counties with the highest property taxes as a percentage of household income, six are located in -- yup -- New Jersey.

In the poll, Corzine chalked a meager 39 percent approval rating -- and that, as it turns out, is the best he's done in months; some 54 percent flatly disapprove of the job he's doing.

They've ALWAYS said that. Then they're spoon-fed the latest BS promises & vote the same party in that they just got through bitching about, thinking THIS time it'll be different.

I don't see that changing this time around either.

If they are so disgusted, why is Corzine still in the race? He is at 39% approval and is polling around 43% in the polls. The only conclusion has to be that New Jersey voters are both disgusted and extremely stupid.

What disgusts this New Jersey native (and still here)is that Corzine is still in this race. I hope that the citizens in the suburbs are po’ed enough to get out and offset the parasitic city vote.

I hope and pray that we can send Mr. Corslime to an early retirement on Tuesday evening. Go Christie!

It’s not just NJ. People in the Northeast have heard the “evil Republicans” mantra for so long that it has actually taken root and now they, in their minds, would rather vote for the “devil” they know(Corzine) than the devil they don’t know(Christie).

Conservatism doesn’t have much of a voice up there, it seems, and even when it does, there aren’t many people willing to give it a fair hearing. We’re such knuckle-dragging, Bible-thumping, gun-toting Neanderthals, after all.

After watching Frank Luntz (sp) on Hannity last night, I agree with you.

I live in PA, but my observation is that NJ voters love to complain about high taxes, but come election time they just vote for the candidate who tells them they will let them abort with abandon and let gays marry (and give them free mammograms...).

New Jersey voters are the dumbest in the nation.

I respectfully disagree:
MO voted for a dead guy then let his wife fill-in
MA continued/(s) to vote for Kennedy and Kerry
NY voted for a carpetbagger
CA keeps the likes of Pelosi and Boxer elected
MN put Franken in office
DC put a crack head back in office

Then they move to Pennsylvania and act like they're soooo enlightened. "I'm originally from New Jersey!" Oooo.
