Gavin Newsom withdraws from governor's race

I suspect that he found no big-name contributors to carry his campaign. This economic downturn...has trimmed back the dozen or so guys who would carry a governor or senator candidate. I’m guessing he added up the cost and the lack of funding....and gave up early. Face it...in California...you need $100 million to run a top-class governor’s race. Anything less than $60 million in your warchest, won’t do much.

His exwife, Kimberly Guilfoyle hinted very strongly that he was, uh, that he batted for the other team.

Altho, i don’t see that as being anything other than a positive for governor of CA.
