A Trunk or Treat is a Halloween event that is often church or community-sponsored. People gather and park their cars in a large parking lot. They open their trunks or the backs of their vehicles and decorate them. Then they pass out candy from their trunks. The event provides a safe family environment for trick or treaters....

Looks like a great Halloween!
Are these Huckabee supporters? :)
It is 7:30 and we already handed out about 15 bags of candy! And we live in Germany, not bad!
Whatever happened to the days when Halloween was just about the candy and nothing more.
Indeed. In my town of 300 we had a parade for the kids with the volunteer fire department trucks leading the way. We paraded from the school (a beautiful converted barn) to the fire house, where the trunk-or-treating commenced. My nieces and nephew loved it. We’re a very rural farm/ranch town. It would be safe to trick or treat here, but not practical due to the physical distances between neighbors.
Those days never existed.
I Long for the days when it was all about tipped outhouses, cows on roofs, rocking chairs on top of telephone poles....
Halloween was NEVER just about candy and nothing more...

We did Trunk or Treat for a lot of years.
After a while, the kids got older and wanted to go to the neighborhood.
At first I was afraid of what I would run into. My neighbors are wonderful. Lots of Snoopy and funny spider type stuff.
I guess we just have Trunk or Treat all the way around.
Take the fun out of EVERYTHING.
We went to our first trunk event tonight. The kids loved it. We don’t celebrate Halloween.
Amen to that. Glad to hear you had a good time. I’ve been to some pretty amazing Trunk or Treats, and they keep getting better with each passing year!
All the best—GGG
