(WIBW) - Former Alaska Governor and 2008 United States Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is coming to Kansas.
The Greater Salina Chamber of Commerce announced Monday that Palin will be the featured speaker at their annual banquet and membership meeting February 5, 2010.
"We are so pleased that Governor Sarah Palin has accepted our invitation to come to Salina as our keynote speaker for the Chambers annual meeting, sDaran Neuschafer, Chairman of the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, said. Governor Palin was clearly identified as a top choice as speaker early in the process, and the event committee is thrilled that shell be with us February 5. To hear from someone with the Governors unique experience and perspective of the political landscape will create an exciting evening for everyone, and just continues our long list of high-profile speakers"
The banquet will be held in the arena of the Bicentennial Center, preceded by a membership networking reception in Heritage Hall of the Center.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person for Chamber members and $75 per person for non-members. Reservations can be made by Chamber members now through December 1 by stopping by the Chamber office, 120 W. Ash, calling the Chamber office, 1-785-827-9301, or emailing scole@salinakansas.org.

A limited number of sponsorships are available. For details about the cost and amenities of the sponsorships, persons can contact the Chamber office.
For more information on the banquet and Governor Palin, people can go to the Chambers website at www.salinakansas.org.
Lemme guess, this will be another “confirmed speech” that is “unconfimed” a few days later by Palin’s amatuerish staff.
They better have a big room!
WAIT.
UNTIL.
OFFICIAL.
CONFIRMATION.
Haven’t we gone through this a dozen times already with “Palin appearance announcements”?!?
How can Palin's staff control what an external group publishes? Palin is known to be a huge draw, and some groups are unscrupulously using that fact to drum up ticket sales for events....
If you can do it better cuz , do it.Otherwise Shutup.
Havent we gone through this a dozen times already with Palin appearance announcements?!?
I would trust the Chamber of Commerce to believe they have a firm committment if they are putting out to the public info on securing tables, price, etc.
I’m in Kansas and the local news confirmed she will be appearing in Salina. I’ll try to get tickets but figure it will be sold out before I get to them.
This is getting so tiresome. They are the equivalent of children making calls asking if your refrigerator is running, or if you have Prince Albert in a can.
They claim she is going to appear, or is demanding thousand of dollars to appear and when there’s no truth to it, try to claim Gov. Palin is an indecisive flibberty gibbet. It’s just too transparent.
..the most active political corpse I have ever seen—and the best looking BTW...
Looks like the train is leaving the station.
Please read my first post.
The pro-life speech and the College speech have already been sold out.
If she wasn't appearing on Oprah, she would have denied it already.
This has nothing to do with her "staff" - these bookings are through her arrangements made with the Washington Speakers Bureau and they're being released to the media. I say 90% that these are confirmed.
Salina? Why the hell would she go Salina? I have been there and it is a nice little town but, Salina?
I doubt it.
Sarah needs a stadium.
I wouldn't - not by a long shot. And the "Washington Speakers Bureau" sheet was a bio on Gov. Palin - NOT a confirmation from the company that she'd be there.
I hope I'm wrong, but we've been down this road before... particularly by RINO-infested organizations that want to discredit Mrs. Palin in the eyes of her fans.
I wouldn’t - not by a long shot.
Your choice. That’s why they play poker.
Is Salina where the Tiller Abortion Mill is located?
