Hmmmm...

Didn't Creep Olbermann say something about the political landscape in Virginia being changed forever by Obama's election?

According to Overbite then, "Duh One" has been resoundingly rejected.

Even if all 3 win by 10-14%, it won’t be a defeat of the Democrats and Obama’s so-called changing of the political landscape in Virginia, it will be a CRUSHING defeat of the Democrats and a flat-out rejection of Obama’s policies.

Really wonder how CA’s election (Harmer [R} vs.Garamendi [D]) will turn out. Really need to see if there is enough sentiment power to convert the lamebrains out here.

As I stated on another thread, I don’t believe Harmer has much of a chance this time. However it could be a different story when this seat is up again next year. By then even the lamebrains out there will have been hurt even more by Dems. 2010 is the election that will determine the fate of the country for the next decade.

Republican candidate for Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli

Interestingly Cuccinelli is the most conservative of a conservative line up and he's got the biggest margin of victory.

Let’s hope the GOP lives up to their responsibility to govern as a true alternative party to the liberal democrats

Next year - Jim Webb and Maroon Moran?

One poll that I saw a little while back showed that Obama’s approval rating among Democrats was at around 89%.

11% disapproval nationally, then. Perhaps Obama’s disapproval rating is now higher in Virginia, and higher nationally now, too.

I noticed that too.

Just curious, do you live in CA? (I do)

I agree with your take on 2010, except it might be TWO decades.

I will remain stubbornly optimistic as to Harmer!

This will be an empirical test of pure dumb, stupid name recognition out here. Garamendi was good as insurance commissioner in the late 70’s, and has steadily moved to higher and higher levels of incompetence.

But overall, he is a true nothing, and his career remarkably mimics the decline in CA since the late 70’s. He offers not a single idea of any kind, never mind any new ideas. Harmer is a long shot, no question about it. All comes down to turnout.

No, I do not live in California and my condolences to those who do. As I said, if things work out like I believe they will, if Harmer runs again in 2010 he will win.

What you said is indeed something for the blue blood/Rockefeller RINO’s in the northeast and DC to ponder and weigh carefully. They are next (or pretty close to it) to be given the heave ho.

They have masqueraded as moderate Republicans, but in reality they are really just liberal Democrats in Republican clothing - just like Scozzafava, who has now revealed her true nature.

If these poll numbers hold up this is a real kick in the teeth for Obama. If the Blue Dog Democrats ignore this warning then they’re all out in 2010 - including Webb.

Odd that Lt. Governor is a separate race.

Now is the time for all Americans to to go to the poles and vote this bunch of misfits out of office. At least the Republicans don't want to destroy our country and have you pay for it.

“Cuccinelli is the most conservative of a conservative line up and he’s got the biggest margin of victory.”

People want impartial law enforcement. Impartial is not in the Democrat dictionary.
