It should only get heavier in the Republican district for those that work.

Those thugs don't work, so how is it going to get heavier?

Sadly, if the group of New Jersey folks on a recent Sean Hannity show with Frank Luntz, are representative of the state, they have what they want in Corzine. I couldn’t believe the comments they made about being willing to be taxed out the wazoo and ideas they had about the government taking care of them at wealthy taxpayers expense.

Republican Districts more folks have to get up and go to work, democratic districts, that’s not the case, I wouldn’t write too much into the fact R districts have heavier turnouts in in the early AM.

Every election it's the same pattern.

Republicans get up early, vote, then go to work.

A few Democrats wake up sometime around noon, and vote in the afternoon.

Republicans vote again in the evening after work.

Most Democrats hit the polls just before closing and stand in long lines that force some hack judge to order the polls be kept open for several hours after the established closing time, giving ACORN and SEIU enough time to comb the homeless shelters for last minute Democrats.

But when you can compare morning turnout in a RAT district today to the morning turnout in the same district last year, it is meaningful.

I hope they are keeping a close eye on the Camden area precincts.

My town in Bergen County is quite Republican (we have a gun club and shooting range, and a creche right on the lawn of city hall each Christmas!)

It was the busiest I've ever seen it in a non-presidential election. Not packed by any means, but for most non-presidential contests, I'm often the only guy there not working for the election board.

Of course. People who work often vote before heading to work. People who don’t work can wait until the afternoon.

To paraphrase Stalin, “I don’t care who votes, as long as I get to COUNT the votes...”

As corrupt as they are, I don't think they can shift the actual votes by more than a couple percentage points without giving up the whole game. Corzine's not worth that to the machine.

They'll just tone it down a tiny bit for four years of Christie.

Not 3 P.M. - precisely at 11 A.M., but how long it takes them to go out is another matter.

Thanks for the ping, NJ Joe...I voted early this morning in a HIGHLY Republican area (northern Morris County) and there were more cars in the grade school parking lot than I EVER saw before, so I bet this is correct.

I voted at 12:30 and I was #206. Good turnout so far. In our tiny Warren County, Republican township (Liberty), votes on the way home from work.

I think someone needs to hold back vote totals in strong republican districts so dems don’t know how many votes they need to “manufacture” to steal the election.

Hope you’re right — I’ll take your word for it.

I figure, with a nick like “dead”, you’re probably personally acquainted with a fair percentage of the NJ voters! :-)

State employees have the day off today, as they do every election day.
