Obama misses DAR's Continental Congress

Not something that would make national headlines, but did not miss a stunned audience, President Barack Obama became the first American president in 118 years to abstain from the same long tradition of addressing the Daughters Of the American Revolution (DAR) Continental Congress, named after the governing body of the American Colonies during the American Revolution.

Presidential greetings were in fact first initiated during the year 1910, 100 years ago not 118 years ago.

OK so he is the first President in a 100 years to not send a rep or show up. DAR is a conservative org so they don't count I suppose. My understanding based on inside information is that at the opening they allowed 3 minutes for the WH rep to show up for the keynote address. 3 minutes of silence was allowed and then they went ahead and skipped the traditional keynote address. Incredible.

Zero also disrespected the observance of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Angela Merkel invited him to be there and he was too busy being a crying Kenyan tittie baby to go. (Props to Imus for calling O a “tittie baby” recently)

My mother - gone just eight Months - is rolling in her grave about now....DAR (and Colonial Dames) was a huge part of her life in her later years.

No, he couldn’t be bothered with the Berlin Wall anniversary celebration. Things that have deep meaning to most Americans are not on his radar screen. All he has time to do is traipse around the world and tell people how rotten this country is, and apologize. And watch documentaries about himself on TV.
