Yes, “V” is an allegory for Nazis Germany. Communists and Fascists have good intentions.
They worship at the altar of Darwin’s Evolution where the survival of the fittest is the rule of law, while denying that same law works within the human as well as the animal kingdom. As long as there are humans, there will be those who seek to enslave others to support those who have the power to do so..................
Another broad concept of “darwinism” is the unanchoring of society from an objective authority.
This is apparent in our law system as well.
It used to be the case where laws were anchored in the Judaeo-Christian (ie, biblical) foundation. If it couldn’t be justified there, it was simply not allowed to become law.
Then came the evolutionary view where the law “evolves” based on nothing except the views of the enlightened jurists of the day.
This is why the Constitution is a dead letter. It is an objective basis of law, in and of itself based on Mosaic and Christian laws and morality. But NO. Those who “interpret” the law are so much more enlightened than the writers of the Constitution (or the Bible).

Ok - went there ... they have this thing about joining the “Peace Ambassador Program” ... just like in the show. I also noted it’s a mini-series meaning to me that it has an ending show, not on-going forever like say Star Trek Next Generation ....

Big Hollywood is reporting ABC has already removed the politically incorect ones from the shows production team and replaced them with Leftists after the Marxists had a melt down. The aliens are soon to become teabaggers.

The script was not written as a roman a clef or allegory for the Obama administration. The script was written by Mr. Peters during the Bush administration and started before Mr. Obama clinched the nomination. The author, Mr. Peters, is not some evil sleeper right-winger/Obama hater. Mr. Peters, besides being a talented writer and director is a gay man, legally married in California, and a liberal supporter of the President who worked for and donated money to the his campaign. If he’s a mole for some right-wing conspiracy he may be the most committed spy ever. Mr. Peters, who was born in Canada, recently became an American citizen; a process he tried to expedite so he could vote for Mr. Obama, a deadline he missed by two days.Unfortunately for Mr. Peters, this isn’t the first time in his career that fans or critics saw things in his work he didn’t intend. Some fans of “The 4400” saw hidden meaning in those episodes too. At first, Mr. Peters would try to respond, but eventually he had to quit paying attention as the theories got more and more bizarre.
Mr. Peters’ replacement as showrunner by Scott Rosenbaum isn’t due to some political move at ABC. From reports I’ve received from informed sources, Peters is well-liked by the network. The show’s being produced at Warner Brothers and there appears to be some friction between the network’s vision for the show and Warner Brother’s. Mr. Peters’ replacement was being worked on well before the show aired and became a hit.

I’m still wondering about the differences in “vision” between the studio and the network. It’ll be interesting to see what changes, if any, are made in the direction of the plot once the show comes back from hiatus next year.
Right about the time that V was playing out for the first time on our television show those folks over at coke were considering altering the formula of their flagship problem. It didn’t work out so well for them because . . . ultimately the new stuff tasted like pepsi and there was already a pepsi. Similarly in 2008 the GOP wanted a liberal lite to run as their candidate . . . problem was there was already an liberal heavy in the race . . . that didn’t work out so well for them either. Note to ABC: There are already plenty pro obama/fascist meme’s in the media that are pretty well dividing up the fans you’ve already got. You wanna make more fans for your network? You wanna make more revenue for your advertisers? Don’t be new coke . . . don’t mess with this formula.
Failing has never deterred liberal executives from their pursuit of political correctness. The Networks are on a suicide mission and they don’t want to change that now. The newspaper industry. The banksters with their low income housing loans. A liberal will burn his own house down and stave his own kids for the grand cause of oppression.
Well you’ve got a really excellent point there. And this is, after all, the administration that awarded MSNBC parent company GE 126 billion dollars in porkulas money. . . with friends in Washington who can directly advance you the consumer’s money why bother going about getting it the honest way?
