Spending the better half of one day and one night searching the internet for information on the Ft. Hood Muslim shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, I have found this disturbing 2009 video from the online archives of C-Span in which the terrorist appears. There has been some reference to this video in US media but not widespread it seems.

Nidal Malik Hasan was apparantly an invited guest to a public address in Washington by the Israeli Ambassador to the US, Sallai Meridor. Shooter Hasan took a seat in the second row nearly across from the Ambassador and one of the participants Yonah Alexander of Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies (also professor of international studies and director of the Institute for Studies in International Terrorism at the State University of New York)—the program ironically called “Combating Terrorism”. It is my impression or at least some level of concern that the Israeli Ambassador, other anti-terrorist officials and VIPs at that event may have been in some level of danger. I have analyzed the video in detail. In addition to the link above, I provide my own outtakes from said January event in Washington.

Date: 9 January 2009
Details: Hasan had been an active participant, and invited general guest, to such policy seminars featuring VIPs on the issue of TERRORISM and HOMELAND SECURITY, between the period of June 2008 and February 2009. As has been reported on FR and elsewhere, his name is listed in the proceedings. On one of these occasions, which may well be on tape, terrorist Hasan asked a question which apparently turned into either a ramble or a rant, and he was cut off by the Director of the policy group. (This may well have been in support of Islam or against US policy). On two known occasions, both on 3 December 2008 and again on 9 January 2009, Hasan took a position close to the speakers dais at these by invitation events, and appears in photographs and videos in his US Army BDU uniform. I am not sure of the specific executive security situation at GWU in Washington not far from the White House the day of this event, if there were metal detectors or what not, but it does appear the Israeli Ambassador had personnel protection nearby which may have hindered a possible attack by Maj. Hasan, who nevertheless could well have been armed and dangerous at the time—knowing what we know now. I invite you to look at his movements and demeanor of Hasan in this video, and follow my comments. Others may also have comments or notice things I did not. This is a group effort, let us all try our best to interpret events.

84:23 Moderator demands AGAIN, that everyone remain seated as Ambassador leaves the event, followed closely behind by one special detail agent, either Secret Service or more likely Israeli Embassy protection (green shirt/tie).
84:35 Hasan, relatively close to the departing Ambassador, one of a few to disregard the request, slowly starts to rise, as some VIPs in front of him are shaking hands with the leaving diplomat, provoking the moderator a THIRD time to tell him and the audience to sit down as told. Hasan can be seen sitting down, through the crowd, as told.
85:12 Hasan looks straight into the camera, he is in the center of the view, spotlight on his bald head which shines. His demeanor and facial manner have an odd, dark nature about them. The Ambassador has left the immediate area and is exiting the auditorium.
Whenever this Hasan appears in the video, he did not look like a happy camper. We may suspect, in his Salafist Fundamentalist rage, he may well have been seething inside at the positions expressed by the Ambassador; this event was right during an Israeli flare up with Hamas Palestinian terrorists on the Gaza Strip (Operation Cast Lead) due to their terrorist rocket attacks on civilians in Israel.
Shown at the very end of the video even appears to be Amb. Paul Bremer, who served as chief of the Coalition Authority to Iraq, and other VIPs well within close range of Major Hasan.
For general discussion and input, additional videos or audios, eyewitness reports, etc. Of particular value would be the video or audio if it exists of the one HSPI event in Washington, D.C. when mass murderer Major Hasan made a general audience question into a public statement. Assistance is requested in finding and disseminating that one in particular, which may well provide some keen insight into this individual and perhaps even prove some pundits off-target in their current criminal profile and analysis.

i just wonder how many other serviceman have the same feelings and thoughts as Hasan did. Whats scary is the access this Major had to some important people.

I would like to know if he had to be extended an invitation to this event and, if so, who did it.

It might have been that he was testing access, and had thoughts of using his Army Officer status to help in performing some spectacular act. Then his impending deployment to Afghanistan made him decide to do his act before deployment.

I wonder WHY was he chosen to be included? How did he get to be a Major and was he considered important only because he was a Muslim? I find this all perplexing.

How about the "not-so-important" people he had access to? Can you imagine being counseled by someone who represents what you are being sent to destroy? How about the soldiers who returned from Iraq or Afghanistan and receiving "psychological help" from this doctor? The fact that he was so conflicted himself had to have some impact on the way he treated his patients.
From what I can gather of Hasan’s career, it appears that some people in the Army, and perhaps other branches of government, were in love with the idea of having a psychiatric expert who understood the Muslim mindset. That’s why Hasan keeps showing up at these events. He’s supposed to be some kind of government expert. Unfortunately, he was also a dedicated jihadi.
The catastrophic results of Hasan’s promotion as a psychiatrist may well be the reason the government is keeping mum about his background. CYA.
I have no doubt they are not limited to just the military. They are in Congress - discovered by an private undercover operation within CAIR which is reported on WND.
Political correctness is deadly and oppressive both in it’s celebration, praising and promotion of the bad guys and it’s hatred and demonization and demotion of the good guys. In this case it murdered a bunch of soldiers who trusted the politically correct military brass. That trust was misplaced.
Next time it murders from within, I hope for change in the MO so that Muslim reality may be targeted at the politically correct elite. That is the only way they will get serious and stop misdirecting and lying with race hate games. If it only kills citizens the elite can play politically correct games with it which is their way of laughing in the face of the people they killed.
The President actually did laugh in the face of the dead as he gave a shout out to one of PC’s diversity race groups before half heartedly addressing the “tragedy” that a known jihadist was placed in the military and enabled to kill a bunch of soldiers.

It was clearly announced twice from the podium to all to stay put, and everyone there knew what it meant, i.e. when a VIP and his entourage/security enters or exits a large function. That man got up for a reason, and I don't think it was because the Preparation H was wearing off.
As you wisely noticed, military is supposed to know "stand", "sit", do this and do that.
And why was he attending events like this instead of doing his job at Walter Reed, which the Army trained him for at considerable expense?

We will probably never know what this terrorist’s mindset was on the day he attended this event. No matter what he may or may not have had in mind, this is chilling.
For liberals it's different - they decide how they "feel" then start calling people names who don't agree with them.
However, the fact is, he was actively involved or at the very least a regular observer in one of a number of non-partisan policy groups in D.C. right leading up to the election and through the transition and into the new Administration (this one on homeland security and terrorism) that had wonk huddles in D.C. in preparation for the new administration giving their thoughts, and hopes and desires to the new Administration. We also know that he personally hoped that with the new Administration, Iraq and Afghanistan would be wound down. But it is not corect to say that he was on any kind of official Obama transition team--to the extent I have researched it--and GWU has also clarified that. Having said that, he did have intricate access (probably out of political correctness or whatever) and wormed his way in to these things. Look how close he got to an Ambassador of (to him) an enemy country like Israel.

George Washington University’s think-tank that put these events on issued a terse, one paragraph (probably lawyer-drafted, probably panicked-state) PR statement yesterday in D.C. that yes, they did let “AbduWali” (Hasan) in the wire, but that these were “public events” anywho. They dropped it right then and there. They probably do not want ANYONE digging around and asking that kind of question that you and Bahbah are rightly asking. WHO LET HIM IN? WHO INVITED HIM? WHY?
Hasan's "counseling" activities provided him access to all kinds of sensitive information about troop morale, operations, vulnerabilities, etc. He was certainly in a position to collect this type of intelligence.

My that was quick. Or otherwise too many people are watching at once? Who knows. I do recommend people go to the original C-SPAN VIDEO TAPE (URL LINK ABOVE), it is over an hour long, and find ways to archive/hard copy it there in its entirety. I know some are doing that as we speak. YouTube on the one hand, can take things down or disable I guess on a whim, but C-Span is going to be in hot water if they try to scrub things that are historical fact and were already broadcast officially.
His army career is full of red flags and very suspect. He is an Army PC poster boy who was in fact a jihadi. How many more of them are in military? Dozens? Hundreds? Many careerist officers in the military probably have a pet muslim to check their PC ticket. Our military and civilian leadership has failed utterly. This is frightening.
His family is Palestinian. He clearly took an interest in events concerning the Palestinians. I think there should be no doubt that he took up their cause and deliberately set out to slaughter our American soldiers. This guy is a sleeper, no question about it. We know it, the army knows it and zero knows it. Nice work AIT.

I am curious to hear from them, I know there is patient/doctor confidentiality, but the news media has reported the man got TERRIBLE job evaluations for *6 years* at Walter Reed (!!!!)—WHY?

What it means to me is that this guy was politically active and had an agenda. It fits in with some of his other actions and activities. His presence raises many questions. Was he there on his own? Was the Army aware of his attendance at the event? Why did he go in uniform?
I believe he was on someone's mission at this event, and we all have an interest to know that the proper, pro-American authorities are all over the facts surrounding this guy's movements, both on and off his supposed "real job."
Standing despite a repeated, authoritative order not to should henceforth send up red flags against any profilable, potential Islamist up to no good. I think it would reasonably have been time to order the waterboarding after such behavior (that we would carry such a lesson from this beast's actions.
Hasan's motionlessness as the questioner beside him spoke bespeaks some form of uncomfortability and/or training. Perhaps it was his strongly conflicted presence and intentions.
Everything about this guy needs to be investigated and brought closely under the microscope, and the military investigators should have access to and cooperation from all in government to facilitate such investigation.
If there's a Van Jones-Valerie Jarrett-type connection, this administration needs to be revetted thoroughly (up to and including Soetero's impeachment)! I want to know if Hasan's name and/or bio was ever sent up on some website, as apparently the WH used to fill many of its Special Interest positions from their trusted supporters.
