I once heard a guy from China say how the Christian church grew so much under the harsh rule of the Communists. He said the Christians in China were praying that the same would happen to us so that our faith would be tested, but that then we would see the awesome spirit of God.
After his talk I thanked him, and then said “But can ya’ tell the folks back home to quit praying for us!?”

So you know, the POS Repub that crossed over and voted for this filth is Joseph Cao - Louisiana. That’s JOSEPH CAO, a name that will live in infamy.
I think Cao would have voted Republican if he knew he’d make a difference. He represents a heavily black Democratic district- the seat of William Jefferson. We needs to focus on the RINOs in the Senate: Collins, Snowe etc.
Amen. The Church shows its true power through persecution. We as a nation have turned our backs on God. Look throughout the Bible and you will see His people turn to him and then prosperity comes and they turn their back on Him they go through persecution and hardship and then they turn back to Him.
We are no different as a nation. We were one of the only nations that was founded as a Christian nation, we prospered, forgot about God and this is where we are today. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the American people but I think it will be a small blip. I think things will get much worse and our gov’t will start to persecute us more. The Church prevails through persecution. This is where God truly works. It will not be fun but remember, this place is not our home. We are “aliens” to this temporal world. Our true home is in heaven. We as Christians need to have an eternal perspective on things and not temporal. It is easier said than done.
I hope they all personally join the Teddy Kennedy healthcare plan!

I struggle now with those who call themselves Christian yet still want Big Brother to take care of them. They can’t see that the reason there are few Christians to help them is because too many people believe that Darwin excuses their selfishness, governments have made the populations too poor to help because it interfered with their control, and the true believers that actually practice their religion in public have been systematically excluded from employment.
The ones who seek him now will need lots of people who can bridge the gap. Lord help us.

I remember my old man back in the 70’s talking saying to me “I feel bad for you getting this world, it will be a terrible thing.” I told him lets go take a walk around the pond, look at God’s Creation and we can talk. He chuckled and I thought it was because he knew I was right.

This is one of those few times when I think, thank goodness mom and dad aren’t alive to see this.
Dad was a surgeon. He was so skilled that other doctors would fly in to watch him operate. He was also the kind of guy who would take care of people whether they could pay or not. I can’t even imagine what his reaction to this abomination would be.
