America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.

This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Samuel 24:25

David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

Lord, there are those in our congress and government who serve and support evil and are working for the destruction of America. we ask You to remove them and replace them with godly people who will do what is right and truly serve the people. please protect America from her enemies. we thank You in Jesus’ Name...amen

Dear Lord:

A lot of us are so discouraged at losing the deathcare battle in the peoples’ House. Others are shocked by the events at Ft. Hood and saddened that our military and government don’t seem to know what to do about it or deny that there is a problem. Still others are reeling from the undeniable awareness that our President hates America and her people. Have mercy on us, Oh Lord, our G-d.

Bind up our wounds, Lord G-d, and pour the healing oil of your Holy Spirit in our hearts today. Pour out Your love on Your servants in a greater measure than we have ever seen. Strengthen our feeble hands to help us to discern and stand against government compulsion to all this unG-dliness and calling evil good. Give us strategic knowledge in this great battle for the hearts and souls of America. Help us to be faithful to praise and look to You and never forget, HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD; that nothing comes our way that hasn’t passed through your throne room. Help us to remember that You promised to never leave us or forsake us. In Jesus name....Amen

There have been several times in our history when events took place that seemed beyond our control, that things were in motion that offered only a dark future. I would imagine the days after Dec. 7 1941 were like that, also the beginning days of the Civil War as the country split apart. Glued to our TV's all day on 9/11, we had no idea what 9/12 would bring.

Yet, thru it all, God's Hand was there as He brought forward men of courage and valor to lead us. We turned to Him, and He reminded us He was with us and in control.

Events of the past year or so have been quite disturbing, as we watch folks who should never have them acquire (or strive towards getting) nuclear weapons. We watch in amazement and sorrow as more and more people in America and the world turn their backs on the Lord and seek to erase Him from the face of the earth. And we see our leaders emphasize that all we need to do is put our trust, faith and hope in THEM and everything will be ok.

All of this convinces me personally that the time of Christ's return is growing ever so nearer and we should prepare ourselves. Not to cower, but to preach. Not to worry, but to rejoice. And to pray always.

Father, be with this nation as we struggle to hold on to what is right, against the tide that pushes against us and seeks to silence us. We ask for the strength to continue the fight and be shining cities on hilltops, until the triumphant return of Your Son and our Savior, Jesus.

Unfortunately, many evil men and women have taken control of the government and they are determined to destroy our way of life. They are godless. They hate You, and they hate us too. Lord, please let this horrible health care legislation die in the Senate. It's a socialist plan to take over America. We know You're angry with us, and rightly so, but please forgive our sins and heal our land. If You don't we are doomed.
