2 dead, 2 hurt in Tualatin workplace shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A shooting has been reported and confirmed at a Tualatin strip mall, police said.

Few details were available. According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, there may be as many as 10 victims.

The shooting was reported at 7575 SW Mohawk at the Martinazzi intersection.

Police first confirmed that a shooting had occurred sometime after 11 a.m.

I called the local news when I picked up my daughter from her daycare literally 1.4 mile from the strip mall and they were going into “lockdown” mode. They hadn’t heard any reports on it until my call. It must have just occured.

TUALATIN — Authorities are on the scene of a shooting in Tualatin in which the gunman may have been fatally shot and two other people injured.

The shooting was reported at a business near 7591 SW Mohawk shortly before noon.

Officers from Tualatin, Tigard, Lake Oswego and at least one state police have responded and are on scene. Tualatin Police spokeswoman Jennifer Massey said the scene is still “very active” and she could not confirm how many shots were fired or injuries

I doubt it. Shootings tend to have the opposite effect. During Malvo and Mohammad's shooting spree the gun control lobby got all excited thinking they could ban guns. They lost big time.
