Why should we leave the law of the land to be decided by votes from Congress of whom which most its members have and/or were not allowed the sufficient amount of time to read the bill? In addition many of them lack the ability to understand the language within the document. Why can they not understand their own bills? Because they do not even write these bills themselves. They have others who specialize in legal jargon originate such paper work.
So why does so much power lie in the hands of those who are apparently not intelligent enough to write their own bills, much less take the time to read the bill of which they are voting on? How does this make any sense? I say throw them out each and every one of them unless they make a huge effort to represent the will of those of which they represent. If not get rid of the hacks.
We, citizens of this great nation, have to hold their feet to the fire or else they will continue with their outlandish bureaucratic state wherein specialized interests are catered to, votes on bills go to the highest bidder, and only those of whom have political and social capital are given concentrated attention.

Honestly, I have been asking people that question for quite some time...way before this "V" crap. It was amazing the answers I'd get from my libtard "friends"...."Of course it would be in your best interest to defend against destruction..." Then I'd mention the movie "Independence Day" and they would agree until I mentioned a tyrannical government. Then they seem to say "oh come on now, you sound like that Glenn Beck nutcake..."
