The ranking Republican on the House intelligence committee on Tuesday night accused the White House of withholding information on the Fort Hood attack.
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) said administration officials delayed briefing members of Congress about the alleged gunman, raising "red flags" about what the White House was hiding.
"When they withhold information, you always start asking questions," Hoekstra told Fox News. "That's what raises red flags. What do they know that they don't want us to know?"
Hoekstra linked President Barack Obama's handling of Fort Hood to a chain of other GOP criticisms of the president, including the administration's treatment of detainees and an investigation into possible CIA abuse.

“Red flags” - what other kind is this white house going to fly?
I’m not sure telling the world what you know is a good thing at this point. Perhaps they are still trying to find more information or don’t want to compromise sources or agents in the field.
Of course, I’m critical and skeptical of this “transparent” administration ... but let’s not go overboard paranoid about it. The investigation is ongoing and we may catch other fish (assuming our enforcement agencies are competent).

Except Obama is changing the rules so he can purge even more Republican appointees from the Federal Government. So much for tolerance, diversity, or bipartisanship or even a peaceful exchange of power. The opposition party is considered the “real” enemy by this Administration. And THAT is a tragedy.
I don’t think there’s a person around who doesn’t think we’re going to hear only part of the story. I’m also betting that Hasan will commit suicide....somehow...against all odds. Obama doesn’t want to deal with this and he doesn’t know how anyways. Present as usual.

You have to have equal representation between those who love America and those who hate it in order to have real diversity in the military.
Enough has been leaked that there really isn’t any point to hiding stuff unless they are trying to nab an associated terrorist kingpin or something. But I highly doubt DHS could take time out of their busy schedule of monitoring returning vets, pro-lifers, NRA members, conservatives, libertarians, etc... to bother with going after the real enemies.

Since when has this administration withheld information in the interest of “National Security”.
They leak for political expediency and they withhold for the same reason.
This whole notion of “diversity” in the ranks flies in the face of one of the foundations of discipline, unity and uniformity that makes an effective military functional.
A military organization isn’t worth spit if they try to operate as an assembly of individuals.
