State Sen. David Schultheis said he didn't intend for a Twitter post accusing President Barack Obama of "flying the U.S. plane right into the ground" and ending with "let's roll" as a threat or a reference to United Flight 93, which crashed during the 2001 terrorist attacks.
"Let's roll" reportedly were the last words of Todd Beamer before he and other passengers tried to gain control of their hijacked jet. The plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field short of its intended target.
The tweet stirred ire and some support for the Colorado Springs Republican, whose standard eschewal of political correctness has earned him criticism in the past.
Schultheis' full tweet Tuesday was: "Don't for a second think Obama wants what is best for U.S. He is flying the U.S. plane right into the ground at full speed. Let's roll."

Senator has been said he will not apologize for his comments, and has been receiving 50/50 support.
I think these boys need to understand that Obama IS the BIGGEST terrorist attack on the US to this date. He has destroyed more that Osama, from within and he has only started!
Osama must be jealous of the breadth and the stealth of Obamas attack and without a shot being fired!
I’m on the side that supports him for NOT apologizing for speaking the truth.
Gee I kinda like his idea! It is a great anology!
Why Apologise? it is a Perfect analogy.
Barack Hussein is “Crashing the Plane”
He should say the only way he will apologize is if that Commie Grayson from Florida agrees to apologize to all Repubs for saying Repubs want people who get sick “to die”.
Otherwise, I agree “let’s roll”.
“Ire” from the libs who will never vote for him anyway, that is...
Schultheis’ full tweet Tuesday was:
“Don’t for a second think Obama wants what is best for U.S.
He is flying the U.S. plane right into the ground at full speed. Let’s roll.”
And the problem with this is .....???
yep...I don’t see a problem either!!Let’s roll is right...let’s call, let’s write, let’s make OUR voices heard!
I am Schlutheis
Senator Schultheis is compiling his emails on this issue. Send him a note of thanks @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Stupid. It is fine to oppose the President. Comparing him to the 9/11 vermin just makes him look stupid.
And don’t even try to say that is not what this was about...
This goes to explain why the media is after him.
believe what you want. I can’t see how anything Obama has done is for the good of America....I have a dear friend whose 20 year old son has been in Afganistan for nearly a year now, I wonder how he feels about the job Obama has been performing...Obama is destroying our country and we need to get rolling to get things changing.
Thank you sent - we spend a month in the summer and Christmas in the Rocky Mountains. This would make an awesome slogan for Conservatives. Need a bumper sticker.
I agree, we need to get rolling to change things. But comparing the President to the 9/11 hijackers only plays into his hands by making him the victim of “right wing crazies”. It’s bad politics.
