what is the squirrel?

As I remember from my military language, squirrel is an unimportant person who goes through a lot waste motion to make himself appear to be relevant.

Just go the Japanese language Page (Link Here) (as simply instructed), see the page, you will see a shaded freeze frame photo of Obama in the center, hit the white triangle (arrow) in the center of that, and stream the short video. That was no problem up until about one year ago. Used to be able to link right straight to the Japanese news videos (their direct URLs), so no Freepers would be confused. Now you can only link to the Yahoo! Japan News page that has the LINK to the video. Not too difficult, but not the easiest thing in the world. ;-)

There is no video at that link, there is Japanese language and three links, one of which goes to a few photo stills of Obama. ?

I will try to give still photos, but most of them are just of his wave at the top of the steps.

Also, to everyone, these Japanese URL links are good usually for about 1/2 a day; often with a fast moving event, they might expire even before that.

I will give you a still of "The Squirrel" if I can, as it was seen this afternoon in Tokyo... :-)

Please give us your general impression of what you see around you of what japan thinks of Obamas visit, for years now I have valued your opinions, myself being in Alaska I heard some interesting stuff about when Obama landed here yesterday, that just about every republican in office in Alaska had an excuse to not be at Elmendorf AFB when Obama made his re-fueling and PR stop. And again Obama used his “shout out” monologue.
