Republicans Outraged Over Terrorism Trial (and 100% American Citizens should be outraged!)
CBS ^ | 11/13/2009 | CBS

Congressional Republicans – along with independent Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman – are not happy with the Obama administration's decision to try alleged Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (left) and four other Guantanamo Bay detainees in civilian federal court in New York.

"The Obama Administration's irresponsible decision to prosecute the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks in New York City puts the interests of liberal special interest groups before the safety and security of the American people," said House Republican leader John Boehner in a statement. "The possibility that Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his co-conspirators could be found 'not guilty' due to some legal technicality just blocks from Ground Zero should give every American pause."

"This decision is further evidence that the White House is reverting to a dangerous pre-9/11 mentality – treating terrorism as a law enforcement issue and hoping for the best," he added.

Sen. Republican Whip Jon Kyl, meanwhile, said "It is a constant amazement to me that there are some who seem more concerned about extending legal protections to terrorists than security protection to Americans."

How much more damage does this Marxist bastard have to do to our country before someone with a brass pair in Congress accuses him of sedition and treason?

I think this decision is going to come back and bite the Dems on the ass..big time...

Joe Sestak, who is in a primary against Spector for the PA senate nomination, has been all over the media supporting this decision, praising Obama, and smearing the US for "torturing" prisoners. Obviously a snap political calculation that he can capture the left, and the $$$ of the Dems in PA..the Kos crowd, and win the primary. Anyone want to guess which way Spector comes down on this? And if Sestak wins, as I think he will, the Toomey wins easily on the general election.

Bush had already started back in 2007 but congress kept tinkering with it until it was too late and then the first thing Obama did was halt the proceedings that had resumed around Aug 2008.

“I think this decision is going to come back and bite the Dems on the ass..big time...”

Even some dems are realizing Obama’s policies stink.

Well, why wouldn’t anti-American communists do something like this?

Are we really still surprised?

I guess if you act surprised and flail around then you won’t have to accept the fact that we are under attack and actually DO SOMETHING to resist our enemy.

Isn’t communism grand?

Sorry, you can go back to sleep now.

That should be their first order of business.

Obama is giving terrorists more legal protection than an American gets in tax court.

I believe NoKoolAidforMe mentioned brass balls. The GOP, as it stands right now, is in short supply. They’d better be growing some damn quick.

If the GOP wins in 2010 then they can stop this dead in its track and force Obama to put it back where it belongs, the military tribunals.

Not happy with Obama deciding to bring Khalid Sheik Mohammed to New York to stand trial...???!!! Didn't New York vote overwhelmingly for Obama? You voted for a Marxist not an American.

It is the most preposterous decision with an agenda - other than the circus it will create....Obama and Holder are taking up where Ayers and Dorn left off...” "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents." Obama, Holder, and Van Jones just use different language but the message is still the same.
